The 2016 John Easson Award winner Sam Bilham will return to active competition for the first time since March after securing a one-off drive in the Swift Group Ford Fiesta R2 at next month’s Nicky Grist Stages Rally (14th July).

The Bingley rally driver has only managed one outing this season after winning last year’s DMACK Fiesta ST Trophy which ran alongside the BTRDA Rally Series. Bingley rally driver Sam Bilham endured a tough return to the 2017 DMACK Fiesta ST Trophy with engine issues forcing the current champion out of contention for a home win on Trackrod Rally Yorkshire (30th September).

Despite clinching the DMACK Fiesta ST Trophy with two rounds to spare, Bingley rally driver Sam Bilham will make a comeback to the series on his home event at the end of the month at Trackrod Rally Yorkshire.

The 2300 Club John Easson Award winner secured five wins from five starts this season which ensured he took the title at the Nicky Grist Stages in July. DMACK Fiesta ST Trophy ace Sam Bilham will head to the Plains Rally in Welshpool this weekend, aiming to take three wins from three in the hotly contested single make rally championship.

On the opening two rounds of the Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series this season, Bilham has dominated the Fiesta championship, taking the category and class N3 win by a substantial margin on both outings. He will aim to once again top the points tables as the series heads to Wales on Saturday. Read More »
