Storm Aiden played its part as the Cotswold Stages saw a (brief) return to rallying, in England, ahead of a 2nd covid-19 related lockdown. The one constant all day was the wind but in the morning it was a deluge, lunchtime it was glare off the standing water and in the afternoon largely dry tarmac as the low Autumn sun drops in the sky. With the top two retiring early Rob Dennis & Andrew Boswell (Fabia Proto) took victory by over a minute. Andy Corner & Ade Camp were a superb 2nd overall, 1st 2WD crew in their 205 GTi. The podium was completed by Jim Munden & Dale Lovegrove (Impreza) by just 1s as they moved ahead of Dan Corner & Richard Evans (205 GTi) on the final stage. Read More »

Citroen C2 pilot Charlie Robinson was unlucky to miss out on victory at the second round of the GwynneSpeed Rally Challenge last weekend as he suffered a time zapping fuel pump issue, costing him the win at the Get it Sideways Stages near Cirencester.

Despite setting fastest stage times on all but one of the ten tests during the day, the Cheltenham based rally driver succumbed to a substantial fuel leak on the fifth stage of the event, costing him victory on his first outing this season. Read More »

Cheltenham rally ace Charlie Robinson will kick start his 2017 assault on the GwynneSpeed Rally Challenge this weekend as he contests his home event, the Get it Sideways Stages at Down Ampney.

After sporadic outings in the popular single make championship for the Citroen C2’s in 2016, Robinson will now mount a campaign on the series in a bid to better his round seven win at Pembrey last season. He will be backed by aerial imaging experts Active Drone Services. Read More »
