Junior F1000 Rally Championship graduate Elliot Payne stamped his mark on the BTRDA Rally Series R2 Cup last weekend, by securing victory in his EDSL Sport MK8 1.0litre EcoBoost Ford Fiesta R2T at the Malcolm Wilson Rally in Cumbria (14th March).

Payne stormed from sixth place in the hotly contested category after the opening stage, to take the win by over ten seconds from his nearest rival on only his second ever “senior” event in the M-Sport machine. Read More »

Official M-Sport Ford re-sellers EDSL Sport will have a new look to its line-up as it heads to round two of the Junior British Rally Championship, the Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally this weekend (14/15 March).

After a confidence-boosting fifth place on his Junior BRC debut at the opening round in Wales last month, reigning Cadet Cup champion Rupert Flynn returns for the gruelling closed-road event on the west Ireland coast. Reigning British Rally Championship Cadet Cup champion Rupert Flynn upheld EDSL Sport honours at the opening round of the British Rally Championship and BTRDA Rally series last weekend, the Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally (8th February).

Making his Junior BRC debut, Flynn co-driver Richard Crozier stayed out of trouble to secure a confidence-boosting fifth spot in the series in the EDSL Sport hire car. Official M-Sport re-seller EDSL Sport will showcase the range of popular Ford Fiesta R2’s at a team test day on December 14th in the Midlands.

The Hampshire based squad will have the latest specification MK8 1.0litre EcoBoost Ford Fiesta R2T example available to test at the Curborough Circuit near Lichfield, Staffordshire and will also have the earlier generation Fiesta’s (R2 & R2T) on hand for use during the session. Read More »

Irish rally ace Marty Gallagher was able to spray the Junior British Rally Championship champagne for the first time since February as he took the EDSL Sport Ford Fiesta R2T to second place at the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally (14th September), the final round of the 2019 season.

Gallagher and co-driver Dean O`Sullivan were able to enjoy a trouble-free run in their M-Sport machine, even leading the hotly contested Junior series before settling for the runner up spot and a well-deserved finish. Read More »

EDSL Sport will head to the final round of this years British Rally Championship armed with some of the best Junior drivers in the series, as Marty Gallagher and James Williams pilot the firm’s Ford Fiesta R2T’s at the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally (14th September).

The Scottish event marks the season finale and both Gallagher and Williams will be heading to the Dalbeattie based rally with an eye on two very different prizes. Despite being team-mates, Gallagher has his sights set on his first JBRC win since 2017, whilst Williams will have the opportunity to scoop €60,000 prize from M-Sport and Pirelli towards a season in the 2020 FIA Junior World Rally Championship. James Williams and Rupert Flynn secured Hampshire based EDSL Sport a double British Rally Championship podium last weekend, each driver spraying the champagne at the demanding Today’s Ulster Rally (17th August).

Williams and co-driver Dai Roberts led the Junior British Rally Championship category for much of Saturday afternoon before a boost issue in their new M-Sport Fiesta R2T Mk8 meant they dropped to second in the final throws of the event. Flynn, with Peredur Wyn Davies alongside overcame an early off in the Fiesta R2, to scoop the Cadet Cup win on Flynn’s maiden asphalt event. Read More »

EDSL Sport will head to the penultimate round of the Junior British Rally Championship this weekend with one of its strongest teams yet, as Marty Gallagher, James Williams and Rupert Flynn will pilot the firm’s Ford Fiesta’s at the Today’s Ulster Rally (17th August).

After a strong showing at the previous round in Belgium which saw Welshman James Williams take the JBRC victory by over eight minutes and dominating the RC4 class, the rapid pilot will return to an EDSL Sport 2019 Ford Fiesta RT2 Mk8 for the blast across the Northern Ireland roads. Read More »

Welsh Rally driver James Williams gave the 2019 Fiesta its first Junior British Rally Championship (JBRC) win last weekend, securing victory by over eight minutes and dominating the RC4 class at the demanding Renties Ypres Rally (28 – 29 June).

Williams and co-driver Tom Woodburn showed an impressive pace from the very first stage, beating many local drivers and asphalt aces to hand M-Sport Ford a maiden JBRC win for the Mk8 Ford Fiesta R2T as the championship visited Belgium for the fourth round of the season. Read More »
