The Ferrari 125 S, the first car to wear the iconic Ferrari badge, was the star of the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s tribute to Ferrari’s 70th Anniversary as it took to the famed hillclimb alongside the latest Ferrari, the very limited edition LaFerrari Aperta. The two cars were the lead cars in a special Ferrari-only parade of 70 cars which included an incredible array of significant and historic road and race cars, including many championship winning single seaters from the Scuderia Ferrari’s illustrious history.

Ferrari 70th anniversary at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Ferrari is celebrating its 70th Anniversary at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with an incredible and diverse display of current and historic Ferrari road and race cars, including the LaFerrari Aperta which is the star car of the company’s anniversary events. Some of the Ferrari cars being showcased this weekend include a Ferrari 333SP, driven by Emmanuele Pirro, a Ferrari 166 Dino F2, driven by Derek Bell, and a Ferrari 458 GT2, driven by Nicolas Minassian.

Actor Michael Fassbender races with Ferrari

Known across the globe for starring roles in films including “Alien: Covenant,” “Steve Jobs,” “Twelve Years a Slave” and “Assassins’ Creed,” actor Michael Fassbender has stepped into the real-time role of racecar driver as he successfully completed the first round of the 2017 North American Ferrari Challenge racing series. A lifelong fan of Ferrari and Formula 1, Fassbender began his training with Ferrari’s “Corso Pilota” driving program last year.
