The fourth round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship takes place at the legendary Estering circuit in Germany this weekend, August 17-18, with Sweden’s Robin Larsson looking to extend his unbeaten run in Euro RX Supercar.

The Estering, in northern Germany, has hosted international rallycross events since 1973. Located 30 miles south of Hamburg, the traditional German RX track is just 950 metres long but features a hairpin after the start-finish straight and a long, downhill run between turns one and two. Kristoffersson wins home race to extend world championship lead

Johan Kristoffersson (S) claimed his third win of the season for PSRX Volkswagen Team Sweden at round seven of the FIA World Rallycross in Höljes (S). In front of more than 45,000 passionate fans, the Swede in the Polo GTI Supercar dominated proceedings, seemingly at will. Kristoffersson had already triumphed in qualifying and the semi-final, and victory never looked in danger in the final. Read More »

Proctor FiestaNorth Yorkshire driver Kevin Procter is set to challenge on three fronts as the 2016 international Rallycross season roars into life next weekend at his local Croft Circuit.

Having not contested a full season in 2015 due to acquiring and subsequently developing the latest Ford Fiesta S2000 purchased from World Rally Championship team M-Sport, the businessman from Leeming Bar near Northallerton now plans to use the ex-Nasser Al-Attiyah ATM-prepared car in both selected rounds of the MSA Odyssey Batteries British Rallycross Championship, starting at Croft on March 6th, as well as the FIA European Rallycross Championship which kicks off at Mettet in Belgium on 14/15th May. WorldRX15 BakkerudNorway’s Andreas Bakkerud became the sixth different winner in the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy after triumphing at this weekend’s World RX of Italy. Volkswagen Team Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson finished as runner-up, with points-leader Petter Solberg third. Albatec GrintBritain’s James Grint will compete in the FIA European Rallycross Championship (Euro RX) presented by Monster Energy with Scottish-based team Albatec Racing. Grint will pilot a Peugeot 208 RX Supercar alongside Frenchman Jerome Grosset-Janin in the five-round championship.

James – the younger brother of famous actor Rupert Grint who played Ronald Weasley in Harry Potter – competed in the British Rallycross Championship RX150 class last year. Read More »
