Britain’s Katie Milner advanced to the Women’s Final of the FIA Rally Star global talent detection programme after sharing the spoils with Sweden’s Maja Hallen Fellenius at the Continental Final in Estering, Germany last weekend (29-31 January).

Milner was one of four representatives from the UK bound for Germany alongside Rob Wilson, George Lepley and #RallyAtHome digital challenge winner John Bebnowicz-Harris, with support provided by Katie Baldwin on behalf of Motorsport UK Academy, the governing body’s performance pathway. Read More »

Motorsport UK’s search for the first FIA Rally Star continues with the National Final this weekend (23 October) at the organisation’s new headquarters in the heart of ‘Motorsport Valley’.

Organised by the FIA in partnership with its member clubs, the global talent detection programme aims to find the next Sebastien Loeb, Ott Tänak, Sebastien Ogier or Thierry Neuville and has a real ‘grassroots to global’ concept, with qualifiers having already taken place in the UK earlier this year based around the WRC 9 video game on all platforms.

Thirty contestants aged between 17 and 26 years have been invited to Bicester Heritage to compete in the UK National Final. Read More »

Motorsport UK has today (Tuesday 16 March) announced its involvement in the FIA Rally Star programme, an initiative to find the next generation of World Rally Champions.

FIA Rally Star is a worldwide detection programme that will take the best undiscovered talent from around the globe from rallying at home to the FIA World Rally Championship – with the ultimate prize of a seat in the FIA Junior World Rally Championship. Within the programme the governing body for motorsport in the UK is excited to embark on its search for the next top rally driver from across the home nations.

The UK has a long association with rallying and has been the proving ground for many of the country’s top rally drivers, including Colin McRae, Richard Burns and more recently Elfyn Evans, Kris Meeke and 2019 FIA European Rally Champion Chris Ingram. Read More »
