After coming first and third respectively in Latvia last year, Sébastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen are determined to notch up another top result there when FIA World Rallycross Championship resumes with Round 10 on September 16-17.

Johan Kristoffersson (S) has won the seventh race of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in Lohéac (F), securing his fifth victory of the season. It was also his fourth win in a row, making the Swedish driver the first to record such an achievement in the World Rallycross Championship. In rainy conditions on a very slippery circuit, the world championship leader from the PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team put on a commanding display to claim the win in the final, well ahead of local hero Sébastien Loeb (F/Peugeot), who led the event on Saturday evening, and Mattias Ekström (S/Audi). “I have never been so comfortable in a car in rainy conditions before,” said Kristoffersson after his win. “While it was dry yesterday, Sébastien Loeb put us under quite a bit of pressure but the team did a great job today and put out a superb car.” Read More »

Round nine of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship saw Sébastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen keep the crowds entertained at Lohéac, France. Sébastien Loeb pocketed the weekend’s second place to provide the PEUGEOT 208 WRX with its seventh podium result of the season.

• A crowd of almost 75,000 spectators (the record turnout so far this season) watched the PEUGEOT 208 WRX deliver further evidence of its speed. After winning Q2, Sébastien Loeb topped the provisional order at the end of Day 1’s action which also saw him post a new fastest lap record for the French venue with an impressive 36.095s. Team Peugeot Hansen consolidated its second place in the 2017 World Rallycross Championship standings at Round 8 in Trois Rivières, Canada, where Sébastien Loeb claimed his third top-three finish in a row.

• A polished performance saw Sébastien Loeb steer his PEUGEOT 208 WRX 2017 to third place in Canada. The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy will return after a five-week summer hiatus as the teams travel out of Europe for the first time this year for World RX of Canada this weekend (4-6 August). For the fourth year in a row, World RX joins the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres (GP3R) – now in its 48th year – for a week-long motorsport extravaganza. Kristoffersson wins home race to extend world championship lead

Johan Kristoffersson (S) claimed his third win of the season for PSRX Volkswagen Team Sweden at round seven of the FIA World Rallycross in Höljes (S). In front of more than 45,000 passionate fans, the Swede in the Polo GTI Supercar dominated proceedings, seemingly at will. Round seven of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship saw Sébastien Loeb play a front-running role once again, this time in front of a record-breaking 45,100-strong crowd at Holjes, Sweden, where he claimed Team Peugeot Hansen’s fifth podium honours of the campaign.
