Dumfries rally ace David Bogie secured his sixth RSAC Scottish Rally win today (19th May) as he powered his Skoda Fabia R5 to the four-wheel-drive event victory by over a minute from his nearest rival after six tough stages in the Eskdalemuir and Beattock forests.

Unseasonably warm conditions in the region had made the stages much drier than expected with low hanging dust causing issues for the 80 or so competitors who lined up to tackle over 43 competitive stage miles in classic forest stages such as Twiglees and Castle O’er. Read More »

ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship reveal nominees for the John Horton Star Driver Award shootout.

Organisers of the ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship are delighted to announce the finalists for the inaugural SRC John Horton Star Driver Award, to be held at Kames Motorsport Centre on 20th September.

The winner of the shoot-out selected by the judging panel will receive an entry to a high-level European event. Entry fee, travel and accommodation costs will be covered and contributions towards fuel and tyres will be also be included courtesy of the championship partners. Greg McKnight and Laura Marshall certainly made an impression upon the ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) on round two of the 2017 series, the Brick & Steel Border Counties Rally.

The Mitsubishi Evo IX crew were running as high as second overall in the Tweed Valley, just behind eventual winner and defending champion Jock Armstrong, before brake issues and then a double puncture wrecked their podium hopes. The duo limped home to claim sixth place. Read More »
