The 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship stays on asphalt for round six, the Harry Flatters Rally (Sunday 30 July). After this event, there is a summer break before the season continues on the closed public roads of the Isle of Man.

The 205 Cup will be open to pre-1990 cars running to period homologation, both in Group A and Group N specification. The 205 Cup will allow owners the chance to compete in these iconic cars on quality asphalt events. Read More »

rac-17-announceThe calendar for the Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship has been announced and will comprise seven rounds at six events in 2017, including two new events to the championship.

The championship is for two-wheel drive historic cars from up to the end of 1990, and is organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club alongside the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship. Read More »

BHRC Red Dragon16cThe special award winners from the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship have been announced, following the Harry Flatters Rally (Sunday 31 July) and the Red Dragon Rally (Saturday 20 August).

On the Harry Flatters, Chris Skill and Tom Jordan collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. The ‘Spirit of the Rally’ product award from Fuchs Lubricants went to Guy Woodcock for a great result on his first event in his Ford Escort Mk2 for 10 months. Read More »

RAC Harry16TV coverage from round three of the Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship, the Harry Flatters Historic Rally, will be broadcast on Friday 19 August.

harryflatters16 (5)A pleasant day up on the ranges saw drama at the top of the field, on the Harry Flatters. It all started on stage 1 when Damian Cole & Craig Drew (Fiesta WRC) dropped the best part of a minute, when they were well up on the field as they passed our location. A few changes at service followed but at the lunch break they were outside the top 3 and 31 seconds down on leaders Andy Fraser & Michael Calvert (Darrian T90 V6). With 25 seconds chipped off on stage 3 and another 16 seconds on stage 4, Cole was in the lead for the final stage. He duly set fastest time to win by 29 seconds but there was drama behind. After four rounds, Irish ace Paul Barrett heads the overall points’ table after a fabulous campaign in his Pinto-powered Ford Escort Mk2. Now comes a switch to asphalt and the demanding Epynt ranges always deliver a tough challenge, but Barrett is no stranger to asphalt and has every chance of maintaining his overall lead.
