The organizers of the three rallies from the east of the Netherlands believe that every year a great rally-event of international allure and ambition should be put on the Dutch Motorsport calendar. They are going to investigate the possibilities to make this happen. Without compromising the interests of both the Vechtdalrally and the Euregio Rally, the Hellendoorn Rally will form the foundation of this plan. During the 30th edition of the Hellendoorn Rally, Van Merksteijn Motorsport delivered a double stroke by finishing with both cars on the podium. Peter van Merksteijn jr. took victory in the event with the Citroën C4 WRC and Bas van Kamperdijk finished surprisingly second in group N with the Mitsubishi Evo IX. Read More »

Bas van Kamperdijk achieved an excellent 5th place during his first entry in the Hellendoorn Rally 2010. After taking victory in the Tank S Rallysprint earlier this year and a podium finish this summer in the German Gronegau Rallye, the Berdal director from Enter driving the group N Mitsubishi Evo IX switched to driving the bigger events in the Dutch rally calendar. Van Merksteijn Motorsport took last weekend an outright victory in the Hellendoorn Rally 2010. Bernhard Ten Brinke dominated the rally with the Ford Focus WRC 08 and led the field almost from the start. Bas van Kamperdijk and Tim Rietveld achieved an impressive result in their first big event amongst strong competition by finishing 5th in group N.

Van Merksteijn Motorsport will start Friday evening with two cars in the most beautiful rally of the Dutch season, the Hellendoorn Rally 2010. Bernhard Ten Brinke will open the rally with the Ford Focus WRC 08 and Bas van Kamperdijk will start his first big rally event with the group N Mitsubishi Evo IX. In a joint effort between the rally team from Hengelo and Ipatec Racing, father and son René and Dennis Kuipers will start in Hellendoorn both with a Subaru Impreza S14 WRC. Read More »
