Hoonigan Racing debuts its newest liveries for Ken Block and Andreas Bakkerud and their Ford Performance Focus RS RX rallycross cars, as the World RX race season opens in Barcelona this coming weekend.

Designed in collaboration with U.K. artist David Gwyther, better known as Death Spray Custom, the new liveries harness the look of intense energy (via bolts) while combining a 3D element to the pattern.

Death Spray Custom also created all-new name and number lockups for both drivers, as well as new takes on established and well-known Hoonigan sayings “Kill All Tires,” and “Ain’t Care,” in addition to an all-new Hoonigan logo for placement on the cars. Read More »

worldrx16-argentinaNorway’s Andreas Bakkerud has won World RX of Argentina, the final round of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy at the wheel of his Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Focus RS RX Supercar. Volkswagen RX Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson and EKS driver Topi Heikkinen finished second and third.  EKS has clinched the 2016 World RX Teams’ Championship as team-mates Mattias Ekstrom and Topi Heikkinen racked up enough points during qualifying to scoop the coveted title ahead of Team Peugeot-Hansen. WorldRX16 HoljesNorway’s Andreas Bakkerud has won this weekend’s Volkswagen Rallycross of Sweden, round six of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy.  Is it the second event in a row that Bakkerud has won in his Hoonigan Racing Division Ford Focus RS Supercar and the result has elevated 24-year-old Bakkerud to third in the overall driver standings.  Team Peugeot-Hansen team-mates Sebastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen finished second and third respectively in a pair of Peugeot 208 WRX Supercars. Hoonigan BakkerudNorway’s Andreas Bakkerud will join Ken Block’s Hoonigan Racing Division to form a two-car Supercar team in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy.

Bakkerud drove for Ford Olsbergs MSE in last year’s World RX alongside Latvian Reinis Nitiss finishing fourth in the overall drivers’ standings and taking the victory at World RX of Italy. Read More »

WorldRX16 Ken BlockAmerica’s Ken Block has confirmed he will compete in all 12 rounds of the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy. Block’s participation in World RX is a result of his extended factory partnership with Ford Performance.

In 2014, Block competed in his first World RX round in Norway, where he celebrated a podium finish. He followed this up with an appearance at the French RX round, finishing fourth overall and setting the fastest lap of the event. With his renewed partnership with Ford Performance, as well as their factory support, the team’s goal is to compete for a world title in 2016. Read More »

It’s official. Gymkhana star and rallycross driver Ken Block is coming to Lydden Hill Race Circuit for the World RX of Great Britain on May 27 – 29.

Extending his factory partnership with Ford, Block will contest a full FIA World Rallycross Championship campaign, with his team Hoonigan Racing Division, running from April to November this year.
