The key areas of race-bred technology development and audience-immersive entertainment will be two of the core discussion topics at the Motorsport Industry Association’s International Energy Efficient Motorsport (EEMS) Conference. Taking place on 10 January 2018 at the Birmingham NEC — the day before the Autosport International show — this prominent annual event will explore motorsport’s central role in accelerating the development of next generation energy-efficient, connected and autonomous vehicle technologies, as well as growing engagement with evermore tech-savvy audiences.

More than 200 delegates, made up of leading figures and key decision-makers from a range of global industry sectors, will be invited to discuss how innovations developed within motorsport are increasingly being applied into adjacent sectors, including automotive, defence and aerospace.

The conference will also examine motorsport’s value as a global entertainment platform to drive engagement with a broad audience, who consume media in increasingly diverse ways. Speakers and panellists will discuss how reaching out to this audience can drive significant value and volume for brands, highlighting the success of motorsport innovations such as Formula E’s FanBoost concept, as well as Virtual Reality and more.
