Gamble made a fantastic British Rallycross debut at the weekend, where he finished a very credible 2nd place in the Super 1600 category, a result he is over the moon with after gong into the event completely blind.

Rally driver Richard Sykes will get his 2010 rally season underway next weekend when he contests the Bulldog International Rally in North Wales with co-driver Simon Taylor.

Sykes, from Stourbridge, will debut his new Dulux Trade Paints, G I Sykes and Boroughbridge Marina backed Citröen C2 R2 Max on the event which is the opening round of both the British Rally Championship (BRC) and the Citröen Racing Trophy. Manxman David Harrison has announced that he will contest the full British Rally Championship in 2010 as well as the Citroen Racing Trophy UK at the wheel of a brand new Citroen C2R2 Max.

“The plans are all in place to do both championships with the new car but we are still desperately seeking sponsors, we managed to scrape together enough budget to secure the car so now it’s just a case of running it for the year, so there is still quite a gap to bridge.” Read More »

Wolverhampton based Mark Gamble survived atrocious road and weather conditions on last weekends Cumbrian based Malcolm Wilson Rally to finish second in class and a mighty impressive 31st overall in his JAM Motorsport prepared Peugeot 106 S1400.
 
The rally, which counts as the second round of the BTRDA Rally Series, and is based at M-Sport, the team that runs Ford Motor Company’s World Rallying project saw a strong entry of cars in the 1400cc category and with ice and snow lining the sides of the stages Mark and co-driver Mark Freeman knew that they would have to balance speed with caution.
