Albatec GrintBritain’s James Grint will compete in the FIA European Rallycross Championship (Euro RX) presented by Monster Energy with Scottish-based team Albatec Racing. Grint will pilot a Peugeot 208 RX Supercar alongside Frenchman Jerome Grosset-Janin in the five-round championship.

James – the younger brother of famous actor Rupert Grint who played Ronald Weasley in Harry Potter – competed in the British Rallycross Championship RX150 class last year. Read More »

Drivers from the MSA British Rally Championship and its support series, the NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge, put on an excellent show at the TRAX Ultimate Performance Car Event this weekend, Citroën DS3 pilot James Grint taking to the podium in the event’s Battle of the Pros.

Distinctly autumnal British weather during Saturday’s setup didn’t dampen spirits, as a fabulous blue sky greeted the thousands of club members and public who attended Sunday’s event at Northamptonshire’s famous Silverstone circuit. Read More »

MSA British Rally Championship drivers will take their cars to this weekend’s French Car Show at Castle Combe Racing Circuit and Carfest North next weekend representing Renault and Citroën respectively.

Youngster Chris Ingram will join Renaultsport on their official stand at the French Car Show, giving guests hot laps in his 2012 Twingo Renaultsport R2 Trophy-winning car. The 19 year-old has had a RallyTwo podium this year and has vowed to be back in Ulster in just over a month’s time, as the BRC moves briefly back to asphalt. A couple of days blasting round the Castle Combe circuit may even help sharpen his skills for the sealed surface rally. Read More »

This weekend’s Bulldog International Rally, round two of the MSA British Rally Championship, will see a record seven Citroën DS3 R3s, starting from Welshpool for this event that uses some of the classic Welsh forestry special stages, synonymous with Rally GB. Finish ace Jarkko Nikara heads the DS3 entry, with Desi Henry and Osian Pryce next up. Vincent Dubert is a welcome French visitor, whilst young Welsh driver Tom Cave is hoping to make his DS3 debut, along with Hereford based James Grint (brother of Harry Potter star, Rupert) and former Fiesta champion Jonny Greer. Kimpton rally driver James Grint has renewed his focus on the BTRDA Rally Series Production Cup after picking up 5th in class and 10th overall on the weekends Nicky Grist Quinton Stages.

James was sat alongside experienced co-driver Patrick Walsh in his distinctive Greased Lightning backed Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9 – a new partnership with Patrick replacing regular co-driver Steve Greenhill for a one-off outing. Read More »
