The calendar for the 2018 Fuchs Lubricants RACRMC Historic Asphalt Rally Championship has been announced and will again comprise seven rounds at six events.

The championship is for two-wheel drive historic cars from up to the end of 1990, and is organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club alongside the MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

The 2018 calendar replicates the successful 2017 schedule and highlights include a double-header round on Rally Isle of Man in September, the Jersey Rally in October and the Salamandre Rally in Belgium in April. Read More »

Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride (Porsche 911) have been confirmed as overall champions in the Fuchs Lubricants RACRMC Historic Asphalt Championship following the seventh and final round, the Jersey Rally (13/14 October).

Although Nutt and McBride completed a perfect season score on round six on the Isle of Man in September, Roger Moran (BMW M3) could have matched their score. Read More »

After clinching the BTRDA 1400 Championship last month, Jerseyman Ed Fossey returned home to contest the Roberts Garage Ltd Jersey Rally (13/14 October). The 19-year-old put in a performance beyond his age as the Next Big Step driver finished third in class and an impressive giant-killing 13th overall, putting many more powerful cars and experienced drivers behind him. Our first visit to the Channel Islands saw us take in the 35th running of the Jersey Rally. The weather could not have been better and with a whole host of local aces on show it proved to be a superb rally to go and watch. Steve Leonard & Sion Humphries (Escort MkII) took an excellent victory where they blitzed the Friday night stages, taking almost 2 minutes out of the next fastest crew in that leg alone. They went on to win by well over 3 minutes after measuring their pace through the Saturday stages. Darryl Morris & Steve Gully (Escort MkII) were 2nd overall and set most of the fastest stage times on Saturday afternoon, with Dave Oliveira & Kevin Irving (Escort MkII) completing the podium.
