The Harry Flatters saw a 90 car field take to the dry stages of the Epynt ranges. Daniel Jones & Kevin Lewis (Escort MkII) were fastest Historic crew through the first stage but a returning Nick Elliott & Dave Price (Escort MkII) grabbed the lead and held a 1s advantage at first service. They were close on the next two stages but a stunning stage saw Jones move ahead. He then pushed the margin out further to take the National A part of the rally by 40s. Elliott meanwhile was embroiled in a tight battle, briefly losing 2nd place to Stanley Orr & Graham Henderson (Escort MkI) on stage 9 before Orr retired after stage 10. Joe Price and Chris Brooks head the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship into round three, the ATL Carlisle Stages (8 June) as a superb historic entry gathers for another assault on the Kielder forest complex.

Matthew Robinson and Dave Robson were the toast of Kielder when they won round two of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship on the Pirelli Historic Rally on Saturday (27 April).

While first round winners Nick Elliott and Dave Price crashed out on the long Forks stage, Robinson repeated his 2018 victory with a storming drive. Joe Price and Chris Brooks led the chase and took over at the head of the championship points as Adrian Hetherington/Ronan O’Neill completed the overall historic podium. Nick Elliott and Dave Price got their season off to a flying start by taking maximum points in the opening round of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales (Saturday March 30).

The forests of Wales were in prime condition and there was even dust as a bumper historic entry gathered in Dolgellau. Elliott and Price always headed the BHRC contenders, although Joe Price/Chris Brooks were never far adrift as a fine performance from Stanley Orr/Grahame Henderson netted third overall and Category 2 victory. BHRC16 Pirelli AJoe Price and Chris Brooks scored their first historic victory on the Pirelli Carlisle Rally (Saturday 30 April), the third round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

The Ludlow driver moved ahead when the notorious challenge of Kielder claimed championship pacesetters Jason Pritchard/Phil Clarke and Nick Elliott/Dave Price.
