Hampshire based preparation firm MH Motorsport will mount a three-car assault on this year’s Junior Prestone MSA British Rally Championship as Norwegian ace Oscar Solberg announces he will re-join the team ahead of the opening round of the series, the Pirelli International Rally (28th April).

Solberg, son of World Rally Championship legend Henning, will drive an MH Motorsport Ford Fiesta and will be co-driven by Patrick Barth. Talented young Irish rally ace Josh McErlean will join British Rally Championship team MH Motorsport to contest this year’s Junior Prestone MSA British Rally Championship at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta 1.0litre EcoBoost R2T.

After a one-off outing in the M-Sport machine for the Nicky Grist Stages during last year’s championship, McErlean will re-join the MH Motorsport squad for a full assault on the championship, starting at the NCS Border Counties Rally in March. Read More »

Hampshire based British rally team MH Motorsport enjoyed a successful weekend at the fifth round of the Prestone MSA British Rally Championship (BRC), scoring a Cadet podium lock-out at the Nicky Grist Stages in Wales (8th/9th July). In the process, they edge just a few points away from securing the Cadet Cup title.

With the Cadet category providing the opportunity for progressive youngsters to hone their skills in older specification R2 cars, the series was always set to provide close competition this season and MH Motorsport’s Josh Cornwell & Richard Bliss have dominated proceedings in each round so far. After scoring fifth Prestone MSA British Rally Championship Junior in the Ypres Rally just a few days ago in Belgium, Norwegian Oscar Solberg and co-driver Patrik Barth will be heading to the mixed surface event with hopes of climbing back up the leaderboard and into the podium positions once again after winning the opening round of the series in March. Showing an impressive turn of pace during the opening rounds of the series behind the wheel of an outdated Citroen C2 R2 MAX, Josh McErlean and co-driver Aaron Johnston will occupy the seat vacated by the outgoing Callum Devine who switches to a Vauxhall Adam for the remainder of the season.

At just 17, McErlean will be the youngest of the MH Motorsport squad and will become team mate to the opening round Junior BRC victor Oscar Solberg.
