WWRS14 Fiat131The Fiat 131 built by Rally Sport Developments is due to make its eagerly-anticipated debut on the final round of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship, the Trackrod Historic Cup (26/27 September).

An entry for the Yorkshire event has been confirmed for former British Historic Rally champion Julian Reynolds and co-driver Ian Oakey. Following a successful test session at Sweet Lamb earlier this week, it is all systems go for the Trackrod. Read More »

WWRS14 Fiat debutThe Fiat 131 built by Rally Sport Developments is expected to make an eagerly-anticipated debut on round four of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship, the Severn Valley Stages (31 May).

An entry has been placed for former British Historic Rally champion Julian Reynolds and co-driver Ian Oakey and, subject to a shakedown test in the run up to the rally, the car will start the rally from Builth Wells on Saturday morning. Read More »

Ahead of the final round of the BHRC it was all still to play for with any of three drivers up for the championship. Julian Reynolds & Patrick Walsh (Escort MkI) had the lead in the championship but they also had the greatest threat from fellow category 2 contenders on this event. Nick Elliott & Dave Price (Escort MkII) looked good in category 3 and would be there to pick up the pieces if Reynolds failed to deliver. Then there was Dessie Nutt & Geraldine McBride (911) who needed Reynolds to finish 3rd or worse and Elliott to finish 2nd or worse in their respective categories, whilst they won category 1. Elliott stormed into an early lead and with Nutt behind Rikki Proffitt & Phill Harrison (911), it was now a two way fight for the title. Read More »

Gareth James and Steffan Evans made a sensational debut in the Kololi Beach Club MSA British Historic Rally Championship with a resounding victory on the Harry Flatters Historic Rally (29 July).

The West Wales crew took the lead on the opening stage in their Ford Escort Mk2 and triumphed after 80 miles over the Epynt ranges. “I’ve not done anything for a couple of years and it has been great,” said James. Read More »

The 2012 Kololi Beach Club MSA British Historic Rally Championship started in fine style on the Rally Marketing Mid Wales Historic Stages on Sunday (4 March).

The big winners were Nick Elliott/Dave Price (Ford Escort Mk2), Julian Reynolds/Patrick Walsh (Ford Escort Mk1) and Paul Mankin/Desmond Bell (Lotus Cortina), but just about every crew finished the rally raving about the classic stages of Myherin and Hafren as fine competition raged through the categories and classes.
