Five-time Irish Tarmac Champion Eugene Donnelly secured another solid performance in the series last weekend as he took his Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing i20 R5 to seventh overall at the Rally of the Lakes in Killarney (5th/6th May).

Along with co-driver Mark Kane, Donnelly continued to develop the MRF Tyres-shod Hyundai for the Irish lanes, further adding to their ninth overall on the West Cork and Easter Stages earlier in the season. Eugene Donnelly will head to this weekend’s Rally of the Lakes (5th/6th May) in the Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing i20 R5 with renewed confidence as he tackles the second round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship in Killarney.

Having successfully put the brand new Hyundai into the top ten of the West Cork and Easter Stages, Donnelly and co-driver Mark Kane are looking to the two-day classic event in a bid to further develop the car and MRF Tyres for Irish soil. Read More »

Jennings RofL13Following a convincing victory in the recent Killarney Rally of the Lakes, Garry Jennings and Neil Doherty now lead the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship outright in their Kumho-shod Subaru S12B.

Having struggled to sixth place on the preceding Galway event, Jennings was naturally eager to make up points in Killarney but, not having rallied for three months, had absolutely no vision of winning what is regarded one of Europe’s top rallying challenges. Read More »

This weekend, Round Three of the 2010 Citroën Racing Trophy (CRT) Ireland heads to the South West for the Killarney Rally of the Lakes. Once again there is an impressive line-up of Citroën C2’s for what is also the third round of the Citroën Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Twelve registered CRT crews have entered with ten C2 R2 Max specification cars, one C2 R2, and one Super 1600 making up the Citroën entries. Read More »
