Baja Poland 2017 delivered mixed fortunes for the MINI family with second, fourth and 13th place finishes. It was a successful event for Jakub Przygonski and co-driver Tom Colsoul in the #102 MINI John Cooper Works Rally, finishing second to strengthen Przygonski’s second position overall in the FIA World Cup for Cross-country Rallies. Mini Poland16 (1)Baja Poland, the seventh round of the FIA Cross Country World Cup, proved once again to be the arena for Polish rally expert Krzysztof Holowczyc to showcase his exceptional driving talent. For Holowczyc, this particular race and fine second place result will be equally memorable as his five previous Baja Poland victories.

The 2016 edition of Baja Poland was a one-off race for Holowczyc – and first major race since his retirement at the end of the 2015 rally season. With fellow countryman Lukasz Kurzeja in the co-driver seat, the pair started Baja Poland in a determined mood. Read More »

In the eighth round of the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup in 2015, the (until 30 August 28.), took Baja Poland the MINI ALL4 Racing, the first two positions. Local hero Krzysztof Hołowczyc (POL) used his home advantage and secured his fifth win in this event. The overall leader in the World Cup, Nasser Al-Attiyah from Qatar, finished second.

Together with his co-pilot Ł Łukasz Kurzeja (POL) took local hero Hołowczyc a comfortable victory. But the joy is also a bit of melancholy, the experienced veteran gave at the presentation ceremony mixed known about the victory that he will retire and the cross country rallying. Read More »

Mini pre-Italia15 (1)Round eight of the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup, Baja Poland (28-30th August), will feature six MINI ALL4 Racing. Leading the charge once again in their MINI ALL4 Racing will be present World Cup leading crew of Nasser Al-Attiyah (QAT) and co-driver Mathieu Baumel (FRA).

Following on from a convincing win at the Hungarian Baja (14-16th August), Nasser and Baumel now lead the 2015 FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup with just three races of the ten race-series remaining. The MINI brand has achieved further success at the Dakar Rally. After covering more than 9,000 kilometres spanning Argentina, Chile and Bolivia, MINI won the world’s toughest rally for the fourth time in a row. Nasser Al-Attiyah/Mathieu Baumel (QT/FR) crossed the finishing line in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires (AR) as the overall winners, having won five of the 13 legs in their MINI ALL4 Racing.

“I promised last year when I was on the podium that I’d be back to win, and now I’m here,” said Al-Attiyah. “It was very hard to lead the race from the very beginning and to continue keeping this position on the long distance. Also because the race was really hard. I’m very happy about this great result and I want to thank and congratulate all mechanics and the team for the great job they have done during the two weeks. MINI continues to show a dominant performance as the 2015 Dakar Rally is turning into the home stretch. Orlando Terranova/Bernardo Graue (AR/AR) celebrated another stage win on leg twelve, their fourth in total at this year’s event.

Vladimir Vasilyev/Konstantin Zhiltsov (RU/RU) finished in second place. They perfected the fifth MINI one-two victory at this year’s Dakar and moved up another place in the overall classification to P5. So far the MINI ALL4 Racing has won eleven out of twelve stages. Only two legs to go until the Dakar reaches its finish line in Buenos Aires (AR) and MINI is continuing to show a dominant pace. So far the MINI ALL4 Racing has won ten out of eleven stages.

Nasser Al-Attiyah (QT) and his co-driver Mathieu Baumel (FR) clinched yet another stage win on Thursday, their fifth so far at this year’s event. They extended their lead in the overall classification by another 39 seconds and are now 29:01 minutes ahead of De Villiers/Von Zitzewitz with just two stages to go. Read More »

Mini Dakar15 Day10Nasser Al-Attiyah (QT) and his co-driver Mathieu Baumel (FR) continue to be the men to beat at this year’s Dakar Rally. The successful duo also won stage ten in the MINI ALL4 Racing at the toughest challenge in motorsports extending their lead in the overall classification.
