Scottish rally driver Euan Thorburn continued the perfect start to his 2019 rallying season at the Rallynuts Stages today (13th April 2019) by taking a start-to-finish victory in his Ford Focus WRC with Paul Beaton on the notes.

Thorburn, from Duns in the Scottish borders, stunned his rivals by taking fastest stage time on each of the event’s six special stages, to win the Builth Wells based event by winning margin of 59 seconds. Mark Donnelly has won this year’s prestigious Pirelli UK Star Driver shootout after impressing a panel of four judges during a two-day showdown based at the iconic motorsport complex of Sweet Lamb in mid Wales.

Donnelly, who won the opening round of this year’s Pirelli-supported MSA British Rally Championship, beat off stiff competition from six other finalists to claim one of the most coveted prizes in British motorsport. The 21-year-old from Omagh in Northern Ireland wins a once in a lifetime opportunity to take part in a full British Rally Championship campaign courtesy of the series’ official tyre supplier, Pirelli. Drivers representing Renault UK will mount a stern challenge to defend the French marque’s lead in the MSA British Manufacturers Rally Championship on Bulldog International Rally of North Wales this weekend.

The MSA British Rally Championship has today confirmed the launch of a new championship for the 2012 season, the RAVENOL OILS BRC Privateers Cup.

RAVENOL, the high performance oil and lubricant manufacturer who last month agreed a long term technical partnership with the British Rally Championship as the official oil and lubricant partner to the BRC, has become the title sponsor of the new championship which is designed to recognise and reward privateer entrants in the UK’s premier rally series. In only his second event in a four-wheel drive car, Welshman Elfyn Evans took his maiden win on the Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship with a scintillating victory on today’s Bulldog International Rally of North Wales.

The 22 year old from Dolgellau along with fellow Welsh co driver Andrew Edwards brought his Pirelli-sponsored Subaru Impreza home 17.7 seconds ahead of Scots pairing David Bogie and Kevin Rae’s Mitsubishi Lancer with Adam Gould and Sebastian Marshall surviving a late scare with a broken oil cooler to clinch third in their Subaru. Round two of the 2010 Citroën Racing Trophy Ireland started in fabulous style for the UTV Drive Circuit of Ireland Rally, Ireland’s best known rally. The Citroën Racing Trophy (CRT) Ireland crews set off from the Dundalk centre Easter Saturday start to tackle two days of intense rallying.
