Porsche Bahrain15bPorsche has concluded the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Bahrain by taking the sixth consecutive race win and the second title this year. For Mark Webber (AUS), Brendon Hartley (NZ) and Timo Bernhard (DE) fifth place in the six-hour race was enough to win the Drivers’ World Championship. Porsche Shanghai15bBy taking the fifth victory in a row Porsche has made itself a World Champion in Shanghai. One race before the season’s finale no one can take away the Manufacturers’ title in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) from the young team from Weissach. In China the winning drivers were Timo Bernhard (Germany), Brendon Hartley (New Zealand) and Mark Webber (Australia) in a Six-Hour race of which two thirds were held on a wet track. The sister car of Romain Dumas (France), Neel Jani (Switzerland) and Marc Lieb (Germany) finished second, and hence delivered the season’s fourth one-two victory for the Porsche team. Read More »

This weekend in Austin, Texas (USA) the Porsche 919 Hybrid achieved its third World Endurance Championship race win in a row. Drivers Timo Bernhard (DE), Brendon Hartley (NZ) and Mark Webber (AUS) won the six-hour race in the Texan capital. The sister car of Romain Dumas (FR), Neel Jani (FR) and Marc Lieb (DE) was leading for a long time, but after a technical problem the car only finished fifth in its class.
