On a busy weekend for McLaren Automotive customer teams racing around the world, the McLaren 570S GT4 scored its third overall GT4 win of the 2018 British GT season at Brands Hatch and set pole at Road America in Wisconsin. The 650S GT3 driven by Fraser Ross took the Australian GT Championship points lead after scoring two podium finishes in three races in Australia.

In the UK, the McLaren 570S GT4 scored its third overall GT4 win of the 2018 British GT Championship at Brands Hatch. The Balfe Motorsport #501 570S GT4 of Graham Johnson and Mike Robinson took a commanding victory in the two-hour race, after quick pit work and a safety car period just before the pit window opened midway through the race, vaulted the team from ninth in GT4 class to take the lead. Adding to the list of race wins and podiums already secured in the first year racing with customer teams around the world, the McLaren 570S GT4 has now achieved multiple championship success over the past two weekends. Customer teams contesting the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GTS series, GT4 European Series Northern Cup, Swedish GT Championship and the British GT Championship have taken debut titles for the McLaren Sports Series model.

Renault Sport Racing and McLaren Racing are pleased to announce they have agreed an engine supply partnership for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons. The deal will see Renault Sport Racing supply McLaren with Formula 1 power units, while also establishing a close working relationship with McLaren’s engineers and technicians.

Despite a combined Formula 1 presence that stretches back to 1977 (McLaren Racing has contested 814 GPs; Renault 591 in its role as an engine manufacturer), this will mark the first time that the two brands have ever collaborated.

For McLaren Racing, the reason for the partnership is evident: Renault has demonstrated its ability to build championship-winning engines, for its own team as well as customer teams. Read More »

McLaren’s 570S GT4 track car makes its China debut this weekend in the first race of the 2017 China GT championship, before an estimated TV and online audience of over 75 million.

The 12-13 May event at Beijing Goldenport Park circuit provides an appropriate showcase for the McLaren 570S GT4, China GT having swiftly become the most influential elite racing contest in China since its launch in 2016. On the eve of the opening British GT Championship round at Oulton Park, McLaren Automotive has confirmed the extension of the official Safety Car partnership with the SRO-managed series. Throughout the season, a variety of models from the McLaren Sports Series will manage on-track safety and coordination of the bumper grid of GT cars, which will include six examples of the 570S GT4.
