The calendar for the 2018 Fuchs Lubricants RACRMC Historic Asphalt Rally Championship has been announced and will again comprise seven rounds at six events.

The championship is for two-wheel drive historic cars from up to the end of 1990, and is organised by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club alongside the MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

The 2018 calendar replicates the successful 2017 schedule and highlights include a double-header round on Rally Isle of Man in September, the Jersey Rally in October and the Salamandre Rally in Belgium in April. Read More »

Neil Williams and Peter James headed the 2017 Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship contenders on round three, the Mini Epynt Stages on Sunday (4 June).

Local experts Neil Williams and Roger Moran head the contenders in the 2017 Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship into round three, the Welsh Marches Mini Epynt Stages on Sunday 4 June.

Both drivers have good knowledge of this challenging and spectacular venue and should set the pace among an excellent entry of 15 historics. The Welsh Marches Mini Epynt Stages is unusual in that it only uses the roads at the Western side of the Epynt ranges and the 10-stage event has already proved to be a popular addition to the Fuchs R.A.C. Entries for round 3 of the Fuchs R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship, the Mini Epynt Stages (June 4), will open at 8pm tonight (Monday 24 April).

Based on previous years, the entry could well be full by the end of the evening, so please be ready to enter on-line at 8pm tonight to make sure of a place. If you leave it until Tuesday morning, you could well be too late.

Gamble Manx Nat16dMark Gamble & Co-Driver; Steve Link, are tackling the Welsh Marches Mini Epynt Stages this weekend, with the aim to get some more positive millage after their sad ending on their last outing in the Isle of Man.

The Suzuki Swift pair are heading into this event after some mixed fortunes in the Isle of Man. Having set some great pace early on, leading the National B Rally by 36 seconds, as well as setting multiple top 5 stage times, it ended with a very unfortunate retirement, holing the radiator early on in the 2nd leg, meaning it wasn’t worth risking damaging the engine, trying to get to the end of the stage with no water. A double header weekend up on Epynt once again and the 3rd Mini Epynt Stages proved to be yet another hit. The initial pace was set by the Nova of Darren & Sue Underwood with Nigel Gibbard & David Jones (Darrian T90) clawing back the margin on the 2nd stage to leave the top two level, (Rob & Laura Tout would have been leading but were ineligible in their Evo IX). Underwood briefly took the lead on stage 3 before Gibbard went fastest over stages 4 & 5 to lead by 9 seconds into the lunch break. Read More »
