Monza Rally Show always marks the end of another racing year for Baggsy. But it never fails to be the ultimate season closer. Returning to the famous concrete bankings of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Baggsy spent the past weekend shredding the tyres of his freshly rebuilt 520hp Nissan S14a.

Chesterfield rally driver Rhys Yates ensured his return to the prestigious Monza Rally Show was a successful one, by taking a stunning top-ten position in an HK Racing Ford Fiesta WRC at the famous Monza Race Track near Milan in Italy (6-9 December).

Competing against some of the best motorsport stars in the world, including seven-time Moto GP World Champion Valentino Rossi and World Rally Championship ace Teemu Suninen, Yates returned to the invitation-only event for the second time in as many years. Read More »

British Rally Championship front-runner Rhys Yates will round off his season in style as he heads to the invite-only Monza Rally Show in Italy next week, joining a host of stars from the World Rally Championship and Moto GP including Valentino Rossi (1-3 December).

Not only will the Chesterfield driver be competing against some of the biggest motorsports heroes in the world, but Yates will be joined in the Brettex Ford Fiesta R5 by 1990’s World Rally Championship icon and five-time WRC event winning co-driver, Denis Giraudet. Read More »

The show, which brings together a huge variety of racers from both two and four wheels would also see drivers such as fellow Monster athelete Valentino Rossi entertain his home crowd after an unfortunate ending to his 2015 MotoGP campaign. Luca Rossetti - Winner Monza Rally Show 2013The Monza Rally Show was only the third event this year for Luca Rossetti, who had been away from competition for some months; the three-time European Champion has not forgotten how to race and moreover how to win.

Despite the evident lack of training with respect to his opponents, he topped the Super 2000 category in a ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000, finishing 52 seconds ahead of Craig Breen; the Irish driver of the Peugeot Rally Academy had to content himself with  second place. Rossetti and Breen also fought head to head in the Memorial Simoncelli – Masters’ Show, an end-of-event shootout on the start/finish straight of the Monza track, where the Italian driver beat his Irish rival in the class final. The strong Portuguese driver of United Business, will take part for the first time in the most “glamorous” Italian rally event. He will be at the start with the Peugeot 207 Super 2000 of the Pa Racing Team, the car with which he recently competed in the Rally du Valais, where he was forced to retire when he was in first place overall.
