Progressive rally co-driver Tom Woodburn became the 2018 Prestone MSA British Junior Rally Champion at last weekend’s gruelling Dayinsure Wales Rally GB (4-7th October) after securing an RC4 class podium at Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship.

Woodburn, from Morecambe, guided fellow Brit James Williams to third in class RC4 on the event which also formed the final two rounds of the British Championship. Read More »

The winners of the UK’s premier national rally championships will all receive free entries into this year’s Wales Rally GB (13-16 November) as a key component of the on-going ‘Road to Wales’ initiative.

Introduced 12 months ago, the innovative and far-reaching Road to Wales scheme included a number of different programmes all of which combined to revitalise Britain’s concluding round of the FIA World Rally Championship in 2013. Read More »

Already proving to be a development arena for real talent, the main MSA British Rally Championship will continue to be the pinnacle of the sport in the UK and in recognition of this, the cars will run at the front of the qualifying rallies in a modern group. It will again feature just two–wheel drive cars in five new categories, BRC1 to 5 (see below).

Integral to the 2014 Championship will be the new NGK Spark Plugs BRC Challenge Trophy (formerly the BRC Challenge) which will be inter-seeded with the main BRC group, providing all the benefits of participating in the MSA British Rally Championship, but on a smaller budget. Benjamyn Mckay / Jason Mckay Renault Twingo21 year old Ben Mckay from Ellesmere coped admirably with the pressure of having it all to loose, by bagging a raft of titles on last weekend’s final round of the MSA British Rally Championship, Rallye Sunseeker International. Not only did the youngster bring the Twingo Renaultsport R1 Trophy, MSA British Junior Championship, Ravenol Newcomers Cup and class R1 titles back to Shropshire, but he also won the hearts and minds of the selection committee and was awarded the coveted Pirelli Star Driver nomination for his determined approach this year.
