BHRC15 AnnounceThe calendar for the 2015 MSA British Historic Rally Championship has been unveiled as Britain’s leading championship for historic cars starts a new five-year term under the control of the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club.

Six gravel rallies and three asphalt rounds, including a double-header on the Isle of Man will make up a fresh new schedule for the championship and two events, the Red Kite Stages and Neath Valley Stages will run at British championship level for the first time. Read More »

WWRS14 Neath Valley14aThe television coverage of round six of the 2014 West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship, the Zutec Neath Valley Stages, will be broadcast on Motors TV on Friday (5 September) starting at 10pm.

The 90-minute programme, produced by Olly Dickinson and narrated by David Addison, covers the full story of the event as contenders tackled superb fast and flowing stages in Rheola, Bryn and Margam. WWRS14 Neath Valley14Nick Elliott and Dave Price were in control over the classic stages of South Wales when they charged to a 20-second victory on the Neath Valley Stages (Saturday 9 August), the penultimate round of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship.

While other leading contenders hit trouble, including Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke who rolled out of the rally, Elliott threw his Ford Escort Mk2 around the stunning gravel stages to move very close to securing the 2014 championship title. “No real problems,” reported Elliott. “A good tyre choice made a big difference and the stages were great.” Read More »

SONY DSCA few showers peppered what was otherwise a sunny and blustery day down in the Vale of Neath. In the Historic rally Nick Elliott & Dave Price (Escort MkII) made up for a narrow defeat in 2013 to take victory by just under 20 seconds. A string of fastest times were enough to keep a hard charging Richard Hill & Steffan Evans (Escort MkII) at bay. Completing the podium were Meirion Evans & Iwan Jones (Escort MkII) just under 15 seconds further back. WWRS 2014 Announce CTwo major regional Challenges will be organised within the 2014 R.A.C. Rally Championship, which is unveiled today (Monday 14 October) during the first virtual championship launch in British rallying.

The 2014 Championship will incorporate individual Welsh and Northern Challenges, aimed at giving the championship as broad an appeal as possible and ensuring that crews with limitations on time or money, or both, can compete for prestigious end-of-season awards. Read More »
