Oman International Drift Championship Round 3 & 4

The team were very exited to get back to Oman for rounds 3 & 4 of the OIDC!

Once everyone arrived, the team gave the car a good check over and got ready for practice.

Baggsy got stuck into Qualifying.. on run 1 there was a minor issue of driving in the wrong direction on the new track layout…So there was a lot of pressure on run 2. The safest option was to put in a safe run to secure a place in the event. Baggsy landed in P13 with a solid second run.

Straight into race day, the car felt good and the morning’s practice went well. Baggsy’s top 32 battle was with Tymur Lypski. This has a one more time which Baggsy won and proceeded onto the top 16.

The team arrived in Oman on Monday 9th January, ready to get round 1 of the championship underway!

Sparco have sent us a brand new race suit that’s made its debut out in Oman!

First stop was to collect the Ps13 and supplies and get set up

The day before the event kicked off the OIDC team invited selected internationals to attend a press conference at the circuit to discuss the upcoming events and career highlights, to the local media.

Baggsy smashes it at the OIDC with a 3rd and a win

Taking to the sands of Oman once again, Baggsy and the SB Motorsport crew spend 2 full weekends in the Persian Gulf sultanate to contest the final two rounds of the Oman International Drift Championship, facing competition from across Europe, the Middle East and even Central America!

OIDC Round 2!

In between workshop sessions building up the amazing Navara-R, Baggsy and the SB Motorsport crew took another trip to the Sultanate of Oman to take part in Rounds 2 and 3 of the Oman International Drift Championship, doing 2 rounds in one trip! Easily qualifying in the Top 32, Baggsy blitzed past Alwaleed Zaki Mahmoud in his own PS13, then in the Top 16 faced down the challenge from Sebastian Fontijn in his BMW E36 2JZ.
