Cumbrian driver Frank Bird’s hopes of an impressive result on his World Rally Championship debut were dashed on the penultimate stage of the second day of the FORUM8 ACI Rally Monza when suspension damage forced him out.

Along with Lake District-based co-driver Jack Morton, Bird, from Penrith, was contesting the final round of the 2021 FIA World Rally Championship in the WRC3 class on the Italian event in the Dom Buckley Motorsport-prepared and Frank Bird Poultry-backed Ford Fiesta Rally2 with assistance from Hager, Fuchs Titan Oils, Aico and Yuasa. Cumbrian driver Frank Bird is heading for Italy where he will make his World Rally Championship debut in this forthcoming weekend’s FORUM8 ACI Rally Monza which hosts the spectacular finale to the 2021 FIA World Rally Championship.

The asphalt event will take place from Thursday to Sunday and will be based at the famous Autodromo Nazionale de Monza race circuit near Milan, in the north of the country, where it will form the 12th and final round of the year. Read More »

London rally driver Ruairi Bell set a blistering pace at the final round of the Junior World Rally Championship, ACI Rally Monza (3-6 December), claiming third place, fastest stage times and his best-ever JWRC result at the unforgiving Italian event.

The Blackheath based 20-year-old not only rounded off his season in style, but such was his speed during the notorious snow-laden Saturday leg of the rally, Bell also set a remarkable 14th overall fastest rally time, beating many WRC regulars in the process, setting him up perfectly to record his maiden JWRC podium at the legendary “Cathedral of Speed”.
