With a return to just the BTRDA championship the Nicky Grist Stages still had a BRC feel as Matt Edwards & Darren Garrod (Fiesta R5) took overall victory by almost a minute. Tom Cave & James Morgan (Mirage) were fastest through the first stage and on the final stage (SS4) before service to lead Edwards by 2 seconds. There was nothing to separate the pair on stage 5 before Edwards took the lead after going fastest by 6 seconds on SS6. Edwards continued with two more fastest stage times to beat Cave by 14 seconds. Cave was disqualified though so Luke Francis & John Roberts (Fiesta WRC) took 2nd place with Rory Young & Allan Cathers (Fiesta R5) completing the podium. Read More »

Jock Armstrong and Cameron Fair took a convincing victory on the Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally this weekend (9th September), the final round of the 2017 ARR Craib MSA Scottish Rally Championship.

Despite finishing second overall by just three seconds, newly crowned champions Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton elected not to score championship points in their Fiesta R5. This elevated Shaun Sinclair and Jamie Edwards to second SRC crew home in their Subaru Impreza S14 WRC. Read More »

On what will be our only visit to Otterburn this year, Peter Taylor & Andrew Roughead (Fiesta WRC) took a dominant win by over a minute. A total of 9 fastest stage times sealed the victory but after the first loop of 3 stages it was Rory Young & Allan Cathers (Fiesta R5) who were leading, courtesy of fastest times on stages 2 & 3. Young steadily drifted back through the rest of the rally, as expected in an R5 up against a WRC machine.
