Neil Williams and Peter James made a triumphant return to the FUCHS LUBRICANTS MSA British Historic Rally Championship to take maximum points on round five, the Harry Flatters Rally on Epynt (Sunday 29 July).

The Ford Escort Mk2 crew used all their experience of the daunting asphalt stages over the Epynt ranges in Wales as testing weather conditions added to the challenge. Paul Barrett, co-driven by Dai Roberts, strengthened his place at the top of the championship with an excellent second place despite limited prior Epynt knowledge. bhrc-iom16dThree category champions in the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship have been confirmed following the seventh and eighth rounds of the season on the Isle of Man Historic Rally (15-17 September).

With only one round remaining, the Trackrod Historic Cup (30 September/1 October), the winners of Category 1, Category 2 and Category 3 have been announced. However, the destiny of the overall title will only be decided in the famous Yorkshire forests. Read More »

bhrc-iom16cThe special award winners from the seventh and eighth rounds of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Isle of Man Classicagh (15-17 September) have been announced.

Father and son crew Bob and Dale Gibbons collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. They started as car 111 and finished 57th overall as they secured the BHRC Category 1 championship title with a tremendous performance in their Ford Cortina Mk2 GT. Read More »

BHRC Red Dragon16cThe special award winners from the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship have been announced, following the Harry Flatters Rally (Sunday 31 July) and the Red Dragon Rally (Saturday 20 August).

On the Harry Flatters, Chris Skill and Tom Jordan collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. The ‘Spirit of the Rally’ product award from Fuchs Lubricants went to Guy Woodcock for a great result on his first event in his Ford Escort Mk2 for 10 months. Read More »

BHRC Red Dragon16bNick Elliott and Dave Price took a final stage victory on the Red Dragon Historic Rally (Saturday 20 August), the sixth round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

On a day of heavy rain and incredibly slippery conditions in Walters Arena, Elliott fought back from a time-consuming puncture on stage three and dived ahead when leaders Joe Price and Chris Brooks slid out of the rally on the final stage. BHRC16 SVS BPaul Barrett and Dai Roberts took a dramatic overall historic victory on the Severn Valley Stages (Saturday 4 June), the fourth round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

On a day of ever-changing fortunes in dry and dusty stages in the Epynt region, Barrett and Roberts swept ahead on the final stage of the rally to win in their Pinto-powered Ford Escort Mk2. Rarely has a Pinto-powered car won overall in the BHRC and it was a fantastic performance from both crew members in the RSR Historic Engineering Category 3. Read More »
