Stanley Orr and Graham Henderson were the dominant force in round six of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, the Ulster Rally (Saturday 17 August).

The local crew took control of the BHRC pack right from the start of the nine special stages and were fastest on five of the nine tests in their Ford Escort Mk1. By the finish, they had half a minute in hand over fellow local crew Adrian Hetherington/Ronan O’Neill (Escort Mk2) while an excellent third place and good championship points went to event newcomers Simon Webster and Jez Rogers. Simon Webster and Jez Rogers scored their first championship win on round four of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, Sunday’s Red Kite Stages (23 June).

The very popular win came at the end of a wonderful day-long contest with Steve Bennett and Osian Owen in the forests of South Wales. As thick dust in the morning was replaced by heavy rain, the Red Kite Stages drew widespread acclaim from competitors for the quality of stages in the Margam and Rheola complexes. Read More »

Matthew Robinson and Sam Collis won round three of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship on Saturday’s ATL Carlisle Stages (8 June).

On a tough day in Kielder forest, many crews hit problems and retirements included former championship leaders Joe Price and Chris Brooks with engine problems. However, Robinson stormed through the wet and slippery stages to take his second win of the season and move to the head of the points as Simon Webster and Jez Rogers came close to victory. Matthew Robinson and Dave Robson were the toast of Kielder when they won round two of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship on the Pirelli Historic Rally on Saturday (27 April).

While first round winners Nick Elliott and Dave Price crashed out on the long Forks stage, Robinson repeated his 2018 victory with a storming drive. Joe Price and Chris Brooks led the chase and took over at the head of the championship points as Adrian Hetherington/Ronan O’Neill completed the overall historic podium. Nick Elliott and Dave Price got their season off to a flying start by taking maximum points in the opening round of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales (Saturday March 30).

The forests of Wales were in prime condition and there was even dust as a bumper historic entry gathered in Dolgellau. Elliott and Price always headed the BHRC contenders, although Joe Price/Chris Brooks were never far adrift as a fine performance from Stanley Orr/Grahame Henderson netted third overall and Category 2 victory. The special award winners from the fifth round of the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the ALMC Stages (Sunday 2 July) have been announced.

Rob Smith and Alun Cook, the top BHRC finishers on the event, collected the award for the ‘Best Improvement on Seeding’, which is a set of axle brake pads from Mintex. Read More »

bhrc17-red-kite-aNick Elliott and Dace Price opened their bid for the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship in the best possible style on the opening round, today’s Red Kite Stages (Sunday 19 February).

The Cheltenham Ford Escort Mk2 crew finished the day with a winning margin of 35s over defending champions Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke after 45-miles of classic Welsh stages on the Llandovery-based event. Read More »

BHRC16 SVS CThe special award winners from the fourth round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship, the Severn Valley Stages (Saturday 4 June) have been announced following the rally that also featured the fourth round of the Holton Homes Clubmans Challenge.

The Holton Homes Clubmans Challenge is for crews using a maximum of six tyres per rally. The top overall finishers from the Clubmans Challenge field were Ben Friend and Cliffy Simmons, who finished seventh overall in their Pinto-powered Ford Escort Mk2. It was another tremendous performance from one of the youngest drivers in the championship. However, it was a close contest as only one place behind were James Potter and Bob Duck after their best result of the season so far. Read More »

BHRC16 RNWbJason Pritchard and Phil Clarke took their second win of the season on Rally North Wales (Saturday 2 April), the second round of the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.

Once again, Pritchard and Clarke traded times with Nick Elliott and Dave Price and it was a chicane in the opening stage that proved central to the final result. Read More »
