2017 MSA British Junior Rallycross Champion Tom Llewellin made the step up to the Suzuki Swift Tom Llewellin Championship at Croft on Saturday and continued on with the seniors where he left off with the juniors by taking a sensational victory in the final round.

Llewellin, son of double British Rally Champion Dai Llewellin, clinched the junior title with seven victories out of the eight rounds contested in his first full season of Rallycross and was offered the chance by Peter Gwynne Motorsport to move up to the senior class for the final round. The Rally, now in its fourth year, was run from Brighton to London on Wednesday 8th July. suzuki-mar09cDespite being hampered by pre-season injury, the Relentless Suzuki MX team were out in force at the weekend, as riders Martin Barr, Jamie Law and stand-in Scott Columb, kicked off their Maxxis British Motocross Championship campaign at Canada Heights in Kent.

With team rider Scott Probert, unable to start the first round of the series due to injury, New Zealander Scott Columb flew over to join the team, fresh from taking the Supercross title back at home with Suzuki. Riding Probert’s RM-Z450, Columb didn’t ride the bike until practice on Sunday morning, but still went on to finish both races solidly in 11th and 12th. Read More »

Britain in early December always presents a spectacular challenge, particularly as the route of the all-gravel event has been significantly modified for this year. For the first time since 2001, competitors will visit the classic stages of mid-Wales such as Sweet Lamb and Myherin on the opening day of the rally, with a remote service in the market town of Builth Wells.
