A new venue and our first trip to the Rally Show since 2008, (due to clashes with other events). Cornbury Park provided a superb venue and an interesting stage at just over a mile. The only thing really missing would be a watersplash but otherwise it was an excellent choice of venue. Dani Sordo in the Mini WRC was spectacular and Ott Tänak peddled the equally impressive Fiesta WRC too. With several competitive events during the weekend and demo runs, there was plenty to entertain, but probably the highlight was the top 10 shoot out. Simon Mauger took the honours after 4 elimination rounds and a final head to head. What a great format and surely a potential format to bring new fans into the sport! Read More »

After four successful years of running The Rally Show at Chatsworth in Derbyshire, it has been mutually agreed that variations available from the estate roads to provide a suitable rally stage have been – for the time being, at least – exhausted. Thus the Rally Show at Chatsworth will not happen later this year. Instead, the Rally Show will run just once this year, at a new venue in Cornbury Park on 14/15 May. Read More »

Former sports car, rally and Formula 1 driver Vic Elford is the first star name to commit to appearing at the first Rally Show to be held at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, on 14/15 May 2011.

Now USA-domiciled, ‘Quick Vic’, as he was nicknamed, has a very impressive motorsport CV, the envy of many a current star. Having started out as a co-driver, a move across to the driving seat in 1961 saw the beginning of a legendary career which was to last for over 20 years. His first works drives were for Triumph, then Ford, with whom he distinguished himself on the Alpine Rally by winning the Touring category in 1964. But he moved to Porsche at the end of 1966.
