The ŠKODA KODIAQ made a strong guest appearance at the finale of the Tour de France: the brand’s new, SUV led the peloton across the finish line in Paris. Stephen Roche, winner of the 1987 Tour, was captivated by the driving performance of the lead car.

On yesterday’s final stage of the Tour de France, the ŠKODA KODIAQ was first across the finish line. According to former Tour winner Stephen Roche, the brand’s new, SUV cuts a fine figure on the bumpy Champs-Élysées boulevard – he is impressed. “The ŠKODA KODIAQ offers a particularly generous amount of space”, said Roche, who sat behind the wheel of the SUV. “It’s ride is very pleasant and the car responds to all your commands with a high degree of precision. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the ŠKODA KODIAQ on its Tour debut”, said the Irishman, who acts as a brand ambassador for the Czech car manufacturer. Read More »

Tour de France (106)For a second year in succession we made the visit to Le Tour for the opening 3 stages. The 2015 start was in Utrecht where it was really hot and packed full of enthusiastic Dutch fans. The cheers that erupted for every Dutch rider and the home team Lotto Jumbo were something to experience but it was BMC’s Rohan Dennis who took the opening maillot jaune. Day two saw the riders head out to Zeeland and echelons were the name of the day but it was the heavy downpour near the end that blew the field apart. Read More »

Tour de France Day 1 (13)You will see many superlatives about the greatest bike race in the World and its Grand Depart from Leeds and our gallery focuses on our visit to the first 3 stages of the event as it visited the UK. We can say it was unprecedented and absolutely amazing to expereince on the roads of Yorkshire with the million plus crowds each day. The Monday Cambridge to London was good too but it will be remembered for what happened up in Yorkshire. For the record as the Tour left the UK Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) led the race by just 2 seconds as the teams headed back over to France. Read More »
