Mansfield based co-driver Phil Hall enjoyed a dream result at the weekend, by winning the WRC3 category and securing a top 30 position at Britain’s round of the FIA World Rally Championship, Dayinsure Wales Rally GB (4-7th October).

With the 0 points score from not competing in Rally Finland due to the difficulties of unpaid sponsorship invoices, Louise’s only way of getting 6 scores onto the WRC3 table meant competing on Rally Turkey.

Louise was fundraising up to the very last minute, maybe even later than. A number of potential sponsors were looking at possibly helping Louise compete on Rally Turkey, but nothing was certain.

“We were talking to a lot of people and companies, though nothing is simple with sponsorship and it is hard to know what support you will have and also sometimes people want to help, but it is not always possible, so it is realty hard to know if things will all come together in time.” Read More »

It is a tough fight to survive in rally sport, not getting to Rally Finland hurt and it was one hell of a job to make it to WRC Rally Germany, but we did make it, thanks to amazing support.

We reached out to lots of potential sponsors and we also launched a crowdfunding campaign to give the public a chance to support if they wanted to. We were grateful to gain the support of Be Wiser Insurance Services, NGK and United Worldwide Logistics for WRC Rally Germany, and with some additional Grand Opportunity supporters, plus the crowdfunding, we had a chance to be there. cook-sweden17aWRC Rally Sweden has been Louise’s biggest rally career challenge in every sense. The battle started just a few days into the new year and a week prior to the entry deadline. Louise had not 1, but 2 of her major sponsors delay their marketing plans. Louise reacted by trying to raise the funds to compete and listed her FIA trophy on eBay with an optimistic hope that it may bring enough in to cover the Championship and Rally entry fees. Read More »
