VSCC Cotswold Trial

A superb entry of 110 cars started the VSCC Cotswold Trial at Prescott, with over 1000 spectators present to watch the 3 hills. Simon Price and Donald Skelton were Joint winners of the Harold Powell Cup and the Inderwick Cup having both impressively cleared every Section. The other title contenders in this Class Peter Kite, Peter Tierney and Richard Houlgate all finished near the top of the rankings making this one of the most hotly contested events on the VSCC Trial calendar.

Cotswold Historic Sporting Trial

Damp conditions met the crews who started the 5th Cotwold Historic Sporting Trial. With a total of 7 hills to be tackled 3 times, the first pass saw a huge disparity between the crews. Trevor Wood & Frank Lyons were tied on 2 points with Sandy Veale & Emily Williams. Just a further 2 points back was Steve Courts, albeit leading the post Historic class. Wood and Courts then scored 4 points on the next pass with Veale scoring 12 points and dropping back to third overall. The 3rd pass saw 5 points scored by Wood to take victory from Courts who notched up 9 penalty marks to finish 6 points behind Wood.
