Online racers will have the chance to test their skills against professional FIA World Rallycross Championship race drivers with the creation of the first-ever RX Esports series.

IMG, the promoters of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, has partnered with Motorsport Games, the racing game developer and Esports specialist, and Codemasters to launch the RX Esports Invitational.

The one-off Esports series will be held on the dates of selected rounds of the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy that have been postponed due to health concerns and government regulations relating to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. Read More »

World Rally Championship co-driver Phil Hall will continue to build on his sporting relationship with the Royal Air Force in 2020 as he becomes an ambassador for their independent charity, the RAF Central Fund.

Hall, a Royal Air Force Reservist himself, has been competing at a World Rally Championship level since 2015, gaining recognition from the RAF for his activities in top-level sport. Read More »

Organisers of the KNC Groundworks Scottish Rally Championship (SRC) have had to take the regrettable decision to cancel this year’s championship as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread causing a subsequent cancellation of events.

Four events – McDonald & Munro Speyside Stages, Beatson’s Building Supplies Jim Clark Reivers Rally, RSAC Scottish Rally and Grampian Forest Rally – have all rightfully been cancelled due to the global health warning, making the decision to call off this season’s championship inevitable. The organisers of the Legend Fires North West Stages have decided not to reschedule the rally for later in 2020, but instead concentrate on running the event in March 2021. Read More »

Due to the Portuguese government declaring a state of emergency and the suspension of all sporting events in Portugal in light of global health concerns regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), this year’s World RX of Portugal on May 2-3 has been postponed.

This decision was made after careful consideration and consultation with the FIA, the Portuguese ASN and the local event organizer, as the health and safety of everyone involved remains the top priority. We are studying a viable alternative date for the event in conjunction with the local event organizer. We will provide further updates as soon as we have them.

The most important thing is that competitors, fans, marshals, officials and personnel keep safe and healthy during this unprecedented coronavirus outbreak – and whilst it’s a rapidly changing situation, we’d like to update you on how it is affecting the 2020 Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship.

Sol Rally Barbados 2020 and Flow King of the Hill, scheduled for the last two weekends in May, have been postponed. Following confirmation of the first two cases of Covid-19 in the island on Tuesday (March 17) and the escalation of the coronavirus crisis in the UK, the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) has reacted quickly to confirm the news.

The announcement of confirmed cases in the island triggered Stage 1 of a Government Protocol aimed at limiting the spread of the virus, which includes a ban on public gatherings of more than 100 people. As a result, the BRC has advised that its calendar of sprint and rally events, which was due to kick off with the innovative ‘Test Stage’ on Saturday, March 28, will be suspended until further notice. Midland Manor Motor Club regret to announce the 2020 Rallynuts Stages Rally, planned for the 18th April will be postponed following the latest directive from the sport’s governing body, Motorsport UK who have suspended all organising permits with immediate effect due to the Covid-19 situation. Junior F1000 Rally Championship graduate Elliot Payne stamped his mark on the BTRDA Rally Series R2 Cup last weekend, by securing victory in his EDSL Sport MK8 1.0litre EcoBoost Ford Fiesta R2T at the Malcolm Wilson Rally in Cumbria (14th March).

Payne stormed from sixth place in the hotly contested category after the opening stage, to take the win by over ten seconds from his nearest rival on only his second ever “senior” event in the M-Sport machine. Read More »
