This past weekend saw the launch of Speedmachine Festival at Silverstone. Silverstone is the new home of the British round of World Rallycross, and Speedmachine Festival brings together a whole host of automotive awesomeness.

It was a full operation for Baggsy and the team, with a full rig setup for the weekend. The rig would house fellow Monster Energy team mates Luke Woodham and Rick Van Goethem, with Driftworks driver Tessa Whittock. Plus a special appearance from the guys of Black L’Amour Barbers giving out fresh trims to the Speedmachine crowds. Read More »

Nine-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb has kept up his impeccable record of finishing somewhere on the podium at every final in the World Rallycross Championship this year, underlining his consistency as well as his speed at the wheel of the PEUGEOT 208 WRX. His 3rd place on the Silverstone podium helped the Team PEUGEOT Total driver to consolidate his runner-up spot in the championship.

Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson extended his FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy points lead by scoring victory at the Cooper Tires World RX of Great Britain as part of the inaugural Speedmachine Festival at Silverstone.

PSRX Volkswagen Sweden’s Kristoffersson claimed a maximum 30 points from the British event in his Volkswagen Polo R by finishing top of the Intermediate Classification, winning semi-final one and the final, as EKS Audi Sport’s Andreas Bakkerud finished second and Team Peugeot Total’s Sebastien Loeb recovered from a slow start in the final to finish third. The World RX of Great Britain moved to Silverstone for 2018 the relatively short and technical circuit provided a very different challenge to Lydden Hill. As he often does Johan Kristoffersson (Polo R) started slow but a great Sunday saw him qualify fastest for the semi finals. A 1st corner clash with his team mate Petter Solberg lead to a red flag which was fortunate for him. He went through to the final and took the overall victory with Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1) 2nd and Sébastien Loeb (208 WRX) completing the podium. In the RX2 category Oliver Eriksson took victory and in the Americas Rallycross Tanner Foust (Beetle R) dominated to take victory. Read More »

Another double header weekend saw us take in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance practice and qualifying, at Silverstone. Matthieu Vaxiviere / Jake Dennis / Nicki Thiim took the R-Motorsport Aston Martin V12 Vantage to pole position and converted that in to race victory on the Sunday too. Tristan Vautier / Adam Christodoulou / Raffaele Marciello were just over ten seconds back in the Mercedes-AMG Team Akka ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3. Completing the podium were Markus Palttala / Stephane Ortelli / Norbert Siedler in the Emil Frey Lexus Racing Lexus RC F GT3 after a hard fought battle for the final podium spot saw 3rd to 9th overall separated by less than 8 seconds.
