Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy member David Kelly has set his sights on the Junior British Rally Championship title in 2021 as he returns to the series behind the wheel of an M-Sport Fiesta Rally4.

Organisers are delighted to announce that planning for a new-look Dunoon Presents Argyll Rally is at an advanced stage for the 25/26 June motorsport weekend.

In a dramatic shift in format, the previously all-gravel round of the KNC Groundworks Scottish Rally Championship switches to a closed-road sealed surface event for the first time in 2021 and despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event is hoping to go ahead as planned this summer. London rally driver Ruairi Bell will kick-start his 2021 competitive outings behind the wheel by contesting the opening round of the Peugeot Iberica Cup in Portugal, thanks to the motorsport preparation firm PT Racing.

Bell, 21 from Blackheath has contested selected events of the all-Peugeot series previously, but will now head to Rali Terras d’Aboboreira (30th March – 1st May) in a brand new Protec Temporary Protection and Marex backed 208 Rally4, to gain more experience of European events and, for the first time, will be partnered by Welsh co-driver Gareth Parry. A week after his GT race success in Monza, it was back to rally action for Penrith-born driver Frank Bird this weekend where he was contesting round two of the COVID-19 delayed 2020/2021 Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship with MSVR.

The 2021 Snetterton Stages Rally was based at the Norfolk racetrack and after winning the opening round at Donington Park in December, the 21-year-old Cumbrian, along with Maryport-based co-driver Jack Morton were hoping to repeat the feat to continue their remarkable run of form. Read More »

After the 3rd UK Lockdown motorsport restarted in mid April and our first trip out was to Snetterton for the 2nd round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship. There was a stellar entry and heading them up were 2020 Snetterton Stages winners Frank Bird & Jack Morton, in their Fiesta Rally2 (R5 MkII). They were up against it though as BRC regulars and WRC2 competitors Rhys Yates & James Morgan (Fiesta Rally2) were 2nd on the road. Yates took the first 4 stages to lead by 15s at the lunch break. Bird came out fighting and took stage 5 before Yates took stages 6 & 7. On the final stage Bird went fastest but Yates took victory by 14s, as the pair were evenly matched through the afternoon.
