Motorsport UK has today (Tuesday 16 March) announced its involvement in the FIA Rally Star programme, an initiative to find the next generation of World Rally Champions.

FIA Rally Star is a worldwide detection programme that will take the best undiscovered talent from around the globe from rallying at home to the FIA World Rally Championship – with the ultimate prize of a seat in the FIA Junior World Rally Championship. Within the programme the governing body for motorsport in the UK is excited to embark on its search for the next top rally driver from across the home nations.

The UK has a long association with rallying and has been the proving ground for many of the country’s top rally drivers, including Colin McRae, Richard Burns and more recently Elfyn Evans, Kris Meeke and 2019 FIA European Rally Champion Chris Ingram. Read More »

RAF Reservist Phil Hall is one of the first co-drivers to be selected for the Team UK squad as part of a brand new evolution of the Motorsport UK Academy.

The Motorsport UK Academy is a talent development pathway that equips the UK’s most promising young drivers and co-drivers with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to maximise their performance. Hall, from Nottinghamshire, joined the Academy programme in 2015, and has benefitted from the support throughout his career. Read More »

Leading classic rally specialist Bespoke Rallies has responded to the pent-up demand for classic events by creating two brand new rallies, and reshuffling its original 2021 calendar in order to take full advantage of the proposed lifting of restrictions. The result is the choice of no less than four enticing events between June 23 and November 2 – two in the UK and two overseas.

More route information for the 2021 Roger Albert Clark Rally (25-29 November) has been confirmed as organisation pushes ahead for the longest and toughest special stage rally on the UK calendar.

Carlisle has been confirmed as the host city for the event, which will be based at H&H Auctions close to junction 43 of the M6. The rally will be based at H&H until it transfers to Wales on Saturday night. Scrutineering will start at mid-day on Wednesday and continue on Thursday morning. Read More »
