Another year and another trip down to Chepstow racecourse for the Wyedean Media Day. With the stage now not being used in the Wyedean Forest Rally we got the rare experience of doing the stage in the normal direction. Bentham’s David Wright will compete in the BTRDA rally championship this year after agreeing a sponsorship deal with Kumho Tyres.

Wright, who won the BTRDA championship title in 2009, will use the same Mitsubishi Evo 9 that he competed in last year. The GPM-prepared car will, in addition to Kumho, be supported by Proflex, Drenth, Grove Hill Garage and York Brewery. Read More »

For his first major event at the wheel of the Peugeot 207 S2000 Matthew didn’t miss the chance to show his full potential. It’s only Tuesday morning that the crew could meet his new car. “SaintEloc Racing Team has done a great job for us to be at the start. But if I only could do 70km with the car I was able to know its enormous potential. Certainly I have a lack of experience in S2000 but I feel very good in the car. Louise Cook from Maidstone in Kent made her World Rally Championship debut this weekend on the notorious Rallye Monte Carlo based in Valence and the Principality of Monaco. Louise made a goal to finish the event and take the chance to look at all the special stages in order to gain the maximum much needed experience on the technical roads whilst knowing a definite finish would see her gain championship points for a minimum of 4th position in the Production World Rally Championship standings. Second in the MONACO KART CUP, fifth in the most prestigious leg of the WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT raced a few months ago in the streets of  THE PRINCIPALITY,  Nelson PANCIATICI finished the MONTE CARLO Rally in second place. He drove in the R2 category at the wheel of his CITROEN C2 R2 MAX,  wearing  SEDIS SYSTEM, the EUROFORMULA driving school, P1 ADVANCED RACEWEAR and RALF TECH watches’ colours. Read More »

The MSA British Rally Championship has been obliged to make an amendment to its regulations concerning stage-based bonus points. (Ref: Press release dated 20/01/2012)

The regulation allowing bonus points to be awarded for fastest stage times contravenes the Motor Sport Association regulation 40.1.5 which states: “There must be no awards for Competitors who equal or improve upon the time schedules for any sections, nor for the fastest times or fewest penalties on any sections.” Read More »
