The past weekend saw Baggsy return to South Africa for the 2018 instalment of Monster Energy’s, Gymkhana GRiD. Back for a second year at Carnival City, Johannesburg. Gymkhana GRiD blends drifting, drag racing, and physical driving skill with mental agility. It truly is one of the most action packed events on the calendar.

Kicking off with the Gymkhana GRiD Press Conference, the worlds motorsport media had the chance to catch up with all the drivers ahead of the event. After the interview session, it was back to the track for ride alongs where the media were able to experience Gymkhana GRiD first hand.

Next up was the main event. Qualifying would see Baggsy sitting in the 3rd spot behind fellow Monster Energy drivers Daigo Saito (2nd) and Luke Woodham (1st). Gymkhana GRiD is all about times, and dialling the car in for more grip to get round the many obstacles faster is key. Read More »


This past weekend was a busy one for Baggsy and the SB Motorsport team. Mondello Park in Ireland played host to the double header event of the season. Not one, but two finals in the form of the Irish Drift Championship and the Drift Masters GP. This promised to be an action packed weekend.

The weekend kicked off with a whole day of practice Friday. First up for the main events was the Irish Drift Championship final on Saturday. After a morning practice session, it was straight in to qualifying. The first run saw a full wet track, whilst the second run was full dry. This past weekend saw the world famous Hockenheimring F1 circuit in Germany, taken over by Round 5 of the Drift Masters GP Championship. It promised to be the fastest track on the DMGP calendar, and it did not disappoint. With over a million online views and the prestigious Mercedes Benz Tribune full with spectators, it was a must watch for any drift fan.

Baggsy was back with the #PS13V8. After teething issues with the new build, the guys at SB Motorsport had been hard at work preparing the car ready for Germany. It was time to get the weekend underway on the Friday with pre qualifying practice. Read More »

What do you get when you combine Baggsy in his #LSXR35, Monster Energy teammate Luke Woodham and a huge Go Kart track deep in Slovenia? The Monster Tsuiso Experience. Three days filled with media interviews, ride alongs, Monster Girls, VR gaming and more.

With the likes of The Sun, TopGear magazine, Boosted Magazine and Super Cars of London all in attendance. Each media outlet had the time to interview the drivers one on one, and take a very special passenger ride along to gain the full drift experience.

With over 60 passenger rides, many smiling faces and a few scared ones. The #LSXR35 filled the hills surrounding Raceland Krsko with smoke and the echoing sound of the LSX V8. The three day Monster Energy drift experience was a great success. Read More »

The past weekend saw Baggsy and the #LSXR35 bring the smoke to Odense, Denmark. The annual Auto Show Denmark hosted by Boosted Magazine, is one of the hottest modified car events on the Danish calendar. With an amazing mix of cars from show to performance, and 20k people in attendance. It’s the perfect place for any petrolhead.

The outside live action arena was bringing the entertainment to the crowds all weekend. The drift demos were packed out with people waiting to see the smoke show action. The fire breathing #LSXR35 proved to be a definite crowd favourite. Read More »

The past weekend saw the Drift Masters European Championship return for Round 3. The highly anticipated ‘King Of Riga’ round promised to bring some of the best action from the series both on and off track. The Biķernieki Circuit played host to 60 drivers and a 5000+ crowd for the two day event.

Baggsy was excited to debut his new LSX-R 454 V8 powered PS13 at Round 3. The team at SB Motorsport have been hard at work completely rebuilding the PS13, which is now sporting a 600+hp Chevrolet V8, new styling, livery and a whole host of other goodies.

After a full day of practice, Friday evening would see the famous Riga street parade take place. 60 plus drift cars took to the streets of the Latvian capital for a wild display of power and noise. Last weekend celebrated the 25th anniversary of Goodwood’s Festival Of Speed. Possibly the biggest highlight on the automotive calendar for manufacturers, drivers, enthusiasts and petrol heads alike. The Goodwood estate, situated in West Sussex and the seat of the Duke of Richmond, plays host to a 300,000 plus crowd across four days of motorsport and car culture celebrations. Not to mention the whole event is live streamed worldwide to millions of viewers.

Baggsy returned for his third consecutive year at Festival Of Speed. His weapon of choice, the fire breathing 1200hp #LSXR35. Baggsy was also joined in his rig by fellow Monster Energy athletes, Nicolas Hamilton, Vaughn Gittin JR and Liam Doran. Read More »

The past weekend saw another instalment of the world famous Gatebil Festival. set in the picturesque Rakkestad, Norway. Rudskogen Motorsenter played host to a 50,000 strong crowd of motorsport fanatics, and three days of petrol fuelled madness.

Baggsy and his #S13V8 were joined by fellow Monster Energy teammates, Luke Woodham, Sultan Al-Qassimi, Dmitriy Illyuk and Rick Van Goethem. The festival see’s three solid days of drifting and track action, along with after track parties, trade village and more. The past weekend saw the Drift Masters European Championship descend on the small town of Máriapócs, Hungary for Round 2. A full scale drift invasion would take place at RabócsiRing, for what promised to be another action filled event. Thanks to its tilted bends, high speeds and wall surrounded layout. RabócsiRing would take no prisoners, and all of this would be witnessed by a five thousand strong crowd of drift fanatics.

After taking on quite a bit of damage at round one. Baggsy’s #S13V8 had spent the previous weeks in Poland being rectified by the guys at G Garage, with the SB Motorsport team putting the finishing touches on car before the event started in Hungary. The past weekend saw the Drift Masters European Championship 2018 kick off in true style. In front of a 10,000 strong crowd of drift super fans, and watched worldwide by more than a million online viewers. The DMEC is the place to be, and setting the bar for international drifting. History was about to be made in the Kazimierz Górski Stadium.

The event got underway Thursday with a full day of practice on the fast paced yet technical track. It was clear at this point that the best from Europe had brought their A game. The grid was full of high horsepower and adrenalin. Friday saw another full day of practice, before getting into the qualification stage. With 52 drivers and only 32 spots in the main event, the heat was on. Baggsy, armed with his Nissan S13 LS3 V8 would lay down two solid runs placing him in 14th position with a score of 82.3.
