DS Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird will be looking to repeat his stunning 2014 victory in Putrajaya, when the FIA Formula E Championship returns to Malaysia next weekend.

Alongside team-mate Jean-Éric Vergne, who will be making his debut at the circuit, Bird will hope to emulate the dominant performance that gave him his maiden Formula E victory last year.

WorldRX16 CalendarThe FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy has announced its draft calendar for 2016.  The calendar, which is still subject to confirmation by the FIA World Motor Sport Council, consists of 12 rounds including an all-new race in Riga, Latvia (1/2 October).  Franciacorta (Italy) and the Intercity Istanbul Park (Turkey) have both been omitted from the 2016 calendar. Sara Williams Oct15aWelsh rally driver Sara Williams has been nominated to join 17 fellow female drivers and co-drivers to participate in a special cross country rally project, run by Qatar Motor and Motorcycling Federation in conjunction with the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. Sara is one of nine drivers selected from across the world for the special course, which offers one driver and co-driver the chance to take part in the 2016 Sealine Cross Country Rally.
