birkett15 (25)A very soggy Silverstone provided a challenge for the 68 teams that contested the 65th Birkett 6hrs Relay. In the scratch race Inspires (all Spire GT3’s) used their fastest driver, Tim Gray, to good effect to take victory by a lap with 128 laps in total, just getting an extra lap in before the flag dropped for 6 hours completed. Third Time Lucky (Radicals) came in 2nd overall missing out on getting on the same lap as the winners by 14 seconds, and leading at 4hr mark. The podium was completed by The Defibrillators (Vision, Phantom & Mallocks) a further 6 laps back. Read More »

cambrian15 (3)A bumper entry left the start under the grey skies of Llandudno, with 8 forest stages ahead of them before the final tarmac stage around the Great Orme. Luke Francis & John Roberts were the only other crew to set fastest stage times and had to fight back from dropping a minute on stage 6, to get 2nd overall. They did this on the final stage pushing Josh Moffett & John Rowan (Fiesta WRC) down to 3rd overall. Read More »

A good days sport again in the Walters motorsport complex, albeit some more challenging roads would have been appreciated. Read More »

fodmctrial15 (23)A glorious early autumn day greeted the crews for the FODMC rally time trial. After a year off the event was a great success and saw excellent battles throughout. Bob & Rob Morgan (Fabia) set the early pace but were pegged back by Andy Davies & Dale Bowen (Impreza) on run 2. Davies then took the lead by 2 seconds on the 3rd run, just before the lunch break. Morgan hit back to halve the deficit on run 4, which saw the crews running in the opposite direction, but Davies hit back with a time 9 seconds faster on run 5 and secured victory with another fastest time on run 6. Geoff Jones & Steve Pugh (Escort MkII) completed the podium and were the first 2WD crew home. Read More »
