The McGrady Insurance Motorsport UK Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship bursts back into action this Saturday (06 April) with the Strabane based Eakin Bros Brian James Trailers Stages Rally.

Closed roads in the Donemana area will reverberate to the sounds of high-powered rally cars as almost 100 crews battle for the rally spoils. Competitors will tackle a total of six stages (two stages completed three times) with service based in Strabane’s Canal Street area. Read More »

Osian Pryce was in a class of his own on the Rally North Wales National A event, setting fastest time on all eight stages to win his home event by 37 seconds in his RallyXtreme-prepared BDA-engined Ford Escort Mk2.

Seeded at number two, Osian started 48th on the road as the 49-car field ran in reverse order. Co-driven by Dale Furniss, the talented 26-year old Machynlleth-born driver made a fantastic start by setting the fastest time through the opening 8.5 mile Dyfi stage. Read More »

After a week of unseasonably dry and warm weather across the UK saw the Dyfi complex in perfect condition for the largely 2WD field. Dust could pose a problem though and with the 2WD reverse seeded then the top runners would not be immune. Osian Pryce & Dale Furniss (Escort MkII) set the stages alight going fastest through all 8 stages, albeit joint fastest time on the final stage. Their victory margin was 37s over Nick Elliott & Dave Price with Joe Price & Chris Brooks a further 34s back, completing an all Escort MkII podium. Stanley Orr & Grahame Henderson (Escort MkI) took category 2 in 4th overall whilst Ken Davies & Alan Jones (Amazon) were victorious in category 1. Read More »

Britain’s Kevin Procter, a fan favourite for his flamboyant driving style, is aiming for the podium in Sol Rally Barbados 2019, the 30th running of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) premier event. His 10 top 10 finishes in 13 visits include three fourth places – he was just 1.2 seconds off the podium in Sol RB17 – but third has always eluded him. Fellow-Brit Graham Coffey, who Procter encouraged to compete in Barbados two years ago, will be among those out to stop him, now driving an identical turbocharged Ford Fiesta. Read More »

The 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship is primed and ready for the opening event of the season at Brands Hatch next weekend (6/7 April), after the capacity 30-car grid completed a successful test day at the famous Kent venue.
