Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire Car Club regret to announce the 2020 North Wales Rally Services Rally North Wales, planned for the 28th March will be postponed following the latest directive from the sport’s governing body, Motorsport UK who have suspended all organising permits with immediate effect due to the Covid-19 situation. The North Wales Rally Services – Rally North Wales opens its entries today (5th February) and announces a brand new route for the 28th March event which has entertained competitors and fans since it’s rejuvenated come-back in 2015.

The 2020 calendar for the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship has been unveiled.

The schedule, which grows from seven rounds in 2019 to eight events in 2020, takes in five gravel events and three asphalt events, including two major closed-road rallies. New to the schedule is the Jim Clark Rally in May, which returns to the calendar after a break and offers outstanding closed-road stages in the Scottish borders. Read More »

Nick Elliott and Dave Price got their season off to a flying start by taking maximum points in the opening round of the FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship, Rally North Wales (Saturday March 30).

The forests of Wales were in prime condition and there was even dust as a bumper historic entry gathered in Dolgellau. Elliott and Price always headed the BHRC contenders, although Joe Price/Chris Brooks were never far adrift as a fine performance from Stanley Orr/Grahame Henderson netted third overall and Category 2 victory. Osian Pryce was in a class of his own on the Rally North Wales National A event, setting fastest time on all eight stages to win his home event by 37 seconds in his RallyXtreme-prepared BDA-engined Ford Escort Mk2.

Seeded at number two, Osian started 48th on the road as the 49-car field ran in reverse order. Co-driven by Dale Furniss, the talented 26-year old Machynlleth-born driver made a fantastic start by setting the fastest time through the opening 8.5 mile Dyfi stage. Read More »
