Chesterfield rally driver Rhys Yates will embark on the biggest season of his career in 2019 as he steps up to the FIA World Rally Championship to tackle nine rounds of the WRC2 category in his Brettex supported Skoda Fabia R5.

The unveiling of the route for the 2019 Roger Albert Clark Rally at Autosport International (10-13 January) met with widespread approval from competitors, fans and officials alike.

Rally manager Colin Heppenstall, from the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club, took the wraps off a five-day, 32-stage, 300-stage mile route for the 13th edition of the rally on 21 to 25 November 2019. Luke Warr (Sudbury) has confirmed he and his BLG Racing team will contest 2019’s Renault UK Clio Cup.

Luke made huge gains in performance during his first attempt at the Clio Cup – Europe’s premier single-make saloon car championship – in 2018.

It resulted in three points finishes and, on occasion, he was able to dice for results in the top ten. Read More »

The 2019 ABB FIA Formula E Marrakesh E-Prix saw a brave start from Jean-Éric Vergne who launched for the lead into turn one from his P2 start position. Unfortunately, the attempt was just on the limit and the Frenchman spun out. Citroën Total World Rally Team unveiled the new colours of its C3 WRCs at the weekend, as the 2019 WRC season was officially launched at the Autosport International show at the NEC in Birmingham. The cars will be driven this year by Sébastien Ogier / Julien Ingrassia and Esapekka Lappi / Janne Ferm, and will feature a brand new livery. It is designed to celebrate the brand’s centenary, as well as the return of Red Bull alongside long-standing partners Total and Michelin.
