Allan McNish is intent on playing a leading role for Audi in Belgium on Sunday (9 May) when the German manufacturer undertakes a full “dress rehearsal” in preparation for next month’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

McNish is joined by all eight of his fellow Le Mans drivers who will drive the latest “factory” Audi R15 TDI “plus” sports-prototypes in a 1,000km race at Spa-Francorchamps – five weeks before the Audi Sport team head for Le Mans bidding to score a ninth victory since its 1999 début. Read More »

With six weeks to go before the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours, Team Peugeot Total is putting the finishing touches to its preparations which started the moment the flag came down on last year’s race. The final phase of this build-up process is the second round of the Le Mans Series at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, where the three Peugeot 908 HDi FAPs and their complete driver line-ups will get in their last full-scale dress rehearsal ahead of June’s clash. Following the announcement by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the governing body of the Le Mans 24 Hour race, Peugeot has confirmed it will enter its 908 HDi FAP cars into the 1,000 km of Silverstone, in September.

Last year at Le Mans, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest confirmed its intention to bring together the various Le Mans series endurance races, by creating a competition reserved for entrants in the top endurance class, LMP1. Read More »

The sunshine island of Gran Canaria has joined the 2010 IRC calendar after the loss of the Asturias rally on mainland Spain in September.

With only a short break for the teams after the two rallies based in South America, it was full steam ahead to get the cars prepared for the first all tarmac rally of this year’s IRC. With the recent travel issues due to the Icelandic volcano, many teams have had major challenges just to get team personnel, equipment and cars out to Gran Canaria. Read More »

The HM Plant Honda team is looking to maintain its winning momentum this Bank Holiday weekend when returning to action at Oulton Park for the third round of the British Superbike Championship.

This weekend, Round Three of the 2010 Citroën Racing Trophy (CRT) Ireland heads to the South West for the Killarney Rally of the Lakes. Once again there is an impressive line-up of Citroën C2’s for what is also the third round of the Citroën Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Twelve registered CRT crews have entered with ten C2 R2 Max specification cars, one C2 R2, and one Super 1600 making up the Citroën entries. Read More »
