In light of continued health concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the organiser of the World Rallycross of Germany, scheduled to take place 12-13 December, has decided to cancel the final event of the 2020 FIA World Rallycross season. As the World RX of Germany event was the last scheduled event of the season, championship points leader Johan Kristoffersson has been named the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Champion, and KYB Team JC win the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship for Teams.

Motorsport UK confirms that the sport will resume in England with effect from 2 December, subject to local restrictions.
This confirmation follows the announcement by Prime Minister Boris Johnson that the second lockdown imposed on 4 November will be lifted as planned, and sport may restart in line with the regional tier system. Furthermore, venues in Tier 1 and Tier 2 regions will be allowed to admit spectators on a limited basis.
Motorsport UK will resume the sport in accordance with its Getting Back on Track protocols, which have guided the safe resumption of motorsport since the lifting of the first lockdown on 4 July. Following today’s announcement by government of their support package for sports impacted by the loss of spectator revenues, Motorsport UK can confirm that a loan fund of £6 Million is to be made available to the principal circuit venue operators in England.
The UK governing body for motorsport worked closely with the operators to provide a detailed assessment of the impact of lost revenue from spectators to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Outline details of the 2021 Roger Albert Clark Rally have been announced and planning is underway for another epic stage rallying challenge over five days in November.
The event will run from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 November and rally manager Colin Heppenstall is planning to make the 14th edition of the biennial rally at least as tough as the hugely successful 2019 event. Motorsport UK has concluded the tender it launched on 7 September in relation to the promotion and organisation of the British Superkart Championship and the British Superkart Grand Prix.
Following a detailed review of the category it has been decided that the governing body will take on the organisation of the Championship and Grand Prix for a period of three years, with the operational support of Super Karting UK.
This long-term commitment to the future of superkarting is intended to build a stronger structure, and to invest in the promotion and growth of the sport. Steve Brown ensured his return to the stages was a positive one, as the Rochdale driver scooped a class podium at the Cotswolds Stages Rally in Gloucestershire last Saturday (31st October).

Motorsport UK has consulted on the implications for motorsport in England with the Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in respect of the plan to enter a four-week national lockdown on Thursday 5th November.
The governing body confirms that following DCMS guidance it must suspend all non-elite motorsport until 2nd December. Selected elite events officially recognised by the DCMS, which include the British Touring Car Championship, will be permitted to continue. Read More »
