trackrod14 (8)It was a tight battle at the top. Steve Perez & Paul Spooner (Focus WRC) only set one fastest stage time on the first stage but they held on to take victory from Paul Bird & Aled Davies (Focus WRC) by 3.4 seconds. Bird went fastest on the final 3 stages but it proved not be enough, so the title fight is set up superbly for the final round in 3 weeks time. David Weston & Kirsty Riddick (Imprzea WRC) completed the podium just over 20 seconds further back, after setting the fastest time through the 2nd stage of the rally. Ignoring the 1400’s the first crew home in the 2WD rally, aka Silver Star, were Martyn Hawkswell & Benjamin Cohen (Escort MkII). Read More »

britcar14-23Our annual visit to Britcar and sadly not a 24hr race, nor a 1000kms or 500kms race but instead 2 x 90 minute races, (plus support). The podium was completed with Javier Morcillo & Manuel Cintrano (Mosler MT900). The Morcillo & Cintrano pairing took the 2nd race after attrition and a non-start saw the top 2 from from race 1 not finish. Calum Lockie (Ferrari 458 Challenge) was 2nd ahead of Guillaume Gruchet (Porsche 997 Cup). Read More »

awdcsweet14 (142)It may have been a month later this year but our first 2014 sighting of the AWDC saw us back at the Sweet Lamb complex. With minimal rain in the days leading up to the event it was a dusty one and high speed too. The best part of 60 crews were present so it proved to be a hectic day of competition. After shedding a wheel last year Rick Mann (Defender) built his pace through the event to win by 25 seconds. Chris Bird (Milner) showed solid pace all day and pipped Andy DeGiulio (Milner) by 14 seconds after DeGiulio had been the early pace setter. Read More »
